Calvià joins the fight against alcohol consumption amongst underage youth

The Town Hall joins the local festivity management model launched by the Govern is year 2023 the Town Hall is joining the Addiction Plan Campaign of the Balearic Islands in order to carry out preventive actions at popular festivities, and to prevent alcohol consumption amongst the underage population. e Platform for Quality Leisure of the Balearic Islands has dra ed up a ”Local festivity management model”, a model framework document of good practice to prevent alcohol consumption and to promote healthy leisure, which should serve as a guide for municipalities when organising popular festivals. e document has been prepared by technicians from the municipal sphere, from the Mallorcan Institute of Social A airs and from the General Directorate of Public Health and Participation. e strategic objective of this mo- del is to protect underage people in our municipality, acting against alcohol consumption in popular festivities and public spaces, and to involve citizens and entities in the whole process.
