Challenge Peguera Mallorca, awarded best race of the year

The Calvià triathlon shone at the CHFAMILY AWARDS 2022, the annual awards granted by the CHALLENGE FAMILY franchise which chooses the best races amongst the 31 races that it includes

The Challenge Peguera Mallorca triathlon was the star of the ChFamily Awards 2022, the annual awards given by the Challenge Family franchise to the best races chosen amongst the 31 races that it currently includes around the world. The event took place on 10th December in Gran Canaria.

The Calvià event achieved the highest award, chosen Best Race of the Year, thus recognising the work done by the municipality of Calvià, the volunteer team and the organization.

Challenge Peguera already won this award in 2019, and is the only race that has managed to repeat the award.

Best finish line

Challenge Peguera Mallorca was also recognised as the event with the best finish line. The environment, the proximity of the area, the number of times the runners passed through during the race and the encouragement given were the main points evaluated.

Nominations and Voting

The survey’s results of the participants in the franchise events around the world (more than 70,000) are used to nomina- te the events that compete for the awards. Challenge Peguera Mallorca was nominated in 6 of the 11 categories. Finally, it is the public’s voting which is used to decide which races obtain an award in each section. The results of the evaluations highlight that CHPEGUERA offers comfort, beauty, personalised services, an exceptional volunteer team, an ideal destination for families, and a wide range of associated services, gastronomy and culture.
