Friday 8th-Sunday 10th ‘Calderas’ festival and medieval market

In the past, the Sant Antoni ‘calderas’ festival was held at the coldest time of the year to feed the poor and needy in the town. In those days, soupy rice was cooked in large pots in the district of Raval. This centuries-old tradition was revived a few years ago with the support of the festival organisers of calle San Vicent and other locals from Raval. It is a feast for the senses: enjoy the sights and smells as the food is prepared and then eat a nice hot meal in one of the town’s most charming areas. Preparation of the meals on Saturday 9th begins at 9.00 am and food is served at 2.00 pm. Throughout the weekend, there will be a Valencian craft market, performances, workshops and concerts.
