Oliva Kiteboarding Club Feel the sea! Practice Stand Up Paddle, Kitesurf in our beach area
Kite’s season 2016 is here and the Oliva Kiteboarding Club has good news for you: our kite area located at the Aigua Blanca beach, is being expanded. Our area will have 350 linear meters and it will be divided, as last year was, in a free sailing area for the club fellows and a school area. What is more, the kite are 2016 will be working from the 1st June to the 31st of September. This means that, during this period it will only be able to sail at the allowed areas at Oliva’s beaches. The most important for us is you to associate to the club as soon as possible paying only 20 euros for the fee and the FVV insurance. Tamarit Library. “Reading’s challenge” All month long at the Tamarit Library and it will consist of 4 challenges: Challenge 1: “Al paso” (walk); reading 6 books. Challenge 2: “Al trote” (trott); reading 12 books. Challenge 3: “Al galope” (gallop); reading 18 books. Challenge 4:”Olímpico” (Olympic); reading 24 books. until 15th September Beach bars Once again, beach bars return to the 10 kilometre stretch of beaches in Oliva. They are located at the “Terranova”, “Pau-Pi”, “Aigua Blanca”, “Rabdells”, “Aigua Morta” and “les Deveses” beaches. Our beach bars are always popular amongst our residents, visitors and tourists. Year by year, we improve our style and aesthetic variety. These bars offer a wide variety of nautical, environmental, sports, cultural, gastronomic and theme activities throughout the entire summer, and they are suitable for all audiences. So, come along and ask about the amazing activities on offer – you’ll be amazed!

1st – 8th September Festivals in honour of the Rebollet Virgin
1st – 6th September - Solemn Novena and Holy Mass 8:15pm Sunday 4th September (8am) - Pilgrimage to Rebollet Castle 8:00am On Sunday, the festival in honour of our “Señora del Rebollet” begin with a pilgrimage that draws in a lot of people from all the surrounding towns. The starting point is the “Santa María” Church, where all pilgrims choose a cane from which a pumpkin is hanging. Once the pilgrims have arrived at the castle, mass is held in the exact place where the patron saint was worshipped for years. Wednesday 7th - Rebollet Virgin Festival 11:00pm An amazing closing party held by the Rebollet Virgin “festeros” 2016, opposite the “Santa María” Church. Dancing, merriment and entertainment for everybody. Thursday 8th - Aurora’s song through the streets of the town. (1am) - Solemn mass to our patron saint, the Rebollet Virgin. (7pm) - The “Rebollet Virgin” procession (8:30pm) Solemn procession and the moving of the Virgin from the “Santa María” Church to the Rebollet convent. Once the procession has finished, fireworks will be launched and it will bring an end to the festival in honour of our patron saint. Venue: “Plaza Joan Baptista” (behind the “Town Market”)

08:00h This Sunday, the 28th Oliva NDS Triathlon 2016 will be held. The triathlon is strategically designed to for the athletes to be able to admire the beauty of Oliva’s landscapes, by swimming the long stretch of Pau Pi beach, running to the natural beaches of l’Aigua Blanca and cycling through mountainous terrains, finishing up in the Coll de l’Elca. Sunday’s event combines triathlon with entertainment to delight and please everyone – both participants and spectators – with a great deal of fun and excitement!
