Akaba has been a free-thinking project from the outset. We were born into a situation of cultural unrest that had its roots buried deep in a period of profound change. We saw the light with a perfectly defined profile combining the love for design and transgression.
ART
The birth of our first iconic pieces was inspired by art, with a highly personal ingredient. From there we evolved with the design to improve their function and connect better with people.

Muka Design Lab Hodei is a family of stools with an eye-catching outline. Its oval, organic seat contrasts with its triangular metal structure to give it a strong personality. This is a lightweight stool available in wooden and upholstered versions for combining with its structure in a thousand ways.

Gabriel Teixidó Klasik is a wrap-around chair design, born as a new contemporary icon, where craftsmanship and wood meet technology. A moulded wooden body lends the chair its beauty and ergonomics, strongly marking its personality and character. It also offers the option of an upholstered seat pad for greater comfort. The possibility of combining different bases make Klasik a complete and flexible family, creating a perfect collection for hospitality and corporate use, and for spaces in the home.

Pensi Design Studio The new Kabi Stool collection serves to expand the Kabi programme. With more compact seating which nonetheless maintains the characteristic comfortable, single-body design, offering different base options for a range of spaces. It is also available in two heights: a higher barstool and a medium-height stool for counters, in both private and public settings.

Iratzoki Lizaso A collection of stools for sharing thoughts and ideas in collaborative environments. With generous seat dimensions, Xoko is at the same time both symmetrical and asymmetrical. Its unique shape envelops the user. Rounded corners that define a kind contour. The cross-shaped base and rounded vertices enhance the character of the Gune table program. The possibility of a double countertops brings another dimension to the table.
