Petrobras plays a vital role in the economic, social & political layers of Brazil with its epicenter at Rio de Janeiro.
The research draws connections between Petrobras(Its operations), Local Settlements, and Petrobras(Local influence/ sponsorship programs) and reveals abstract relationships and spatial conditions between them. Infering from the spatial conditions derived from the above research, comes hibridismo, A meadiateca in the heart of the city making for the new city square.

GSAPP | New York | USA Urban Corridor | Site: Aalborg, Denmark
With a population of over 125,000, Aalborg is the 4th largest city in Denmark. The city faces extreme sprawl with a vision to grow into a world city in the future. The urban corridor connects the airport, city center , industrial belt and the port. The proposal also included a BRT system with stations designed for different capacities and user groups coupled with water management systems to harvest water. These BRT stations are envisioned to decentralize the city and function as secondary and tertiary nodes of activity and commerce.
RVSA | Bangalore | India Thesis: Resilient City | Site : Bangalore
Bangalore is one of the fastest growing cities in Asia and due to rapid growth over the last couple of decades, the city has begun to cripple with infrastructure and services. The project looks at identifying voids and open spaces around the city to Introduce sustainable interventions as a support layer to the existing city fabric. The research and proposal included, identifying and fixing broken natural water links, Urban agriculture, Relocating Bus stations, Introducing forested areas as carbon sink.

The Project was a competition entry for an Educational Institute in India. The Driving concept for the campus design was Net Zero Energy. My role in the competition team was to prepare drawings, renders, and presentation boards. As an integral part of the Design development team, I have worked on a diverse range of project types with Frederic Schwartz Architects, including commercial, retail, institutional, public and planning projects. Some of the important contributions to the firm included a 5000 unit mixed use master plan in Ghana, 200 Unit Affordable housing in Arkansas and 180 unit Apartment project on Fulton Street in Brooklyn. Among hospitality projects, I was also involved in the design development of a Nigeria Hotel Project and a Hotel in Soho.

The Tower project at Mumbai was developed in collaboration with the team at Singapore. The focus of my role in the project was 3D modelling, core resolutions, draft master plans, Model making for multiple design iterations. As an integral part of the Design development team, I was involved in a spectrum of projects. Some key projects include the Forum Mall, Mangalore (140,000 Sqm), Sanpras Mixed use development, Hyderabad (45,000 Sqm), Prestige Exora, Bangalore (1,627,000 Sqm)(sanction Dwgs), Century Mills Tower, Mumbai (189,000 Sqm).

Sanpras, Hyderabad , was a Mixed use development designed to accomodate a 250 key 4 star luxury hotel and leasable/ rentable commercial office space. The Project had reached construction Phase and I was a part of the team that put together the construction drawing set for this project. I also assited the designers in developing courtyard and facade design alternatives. The client was keen on incorporating green building technologies. The project was challenging to tackle the split levels and integrated mixed use programming. The building splits into 2 as it rises and become office space and suites.

Prestige Exora Tech Park, Bangalore was designed for both built to suit and multitenanted office spaces for large corporates. Sited on a spraling 15 acre campus, the projects has an approx built up area of about 1.5 million SQFT. I joined the team during the final design development stages. I made all the necessary drawings and calculations to be submitted to the authorities for approval under the supervision of the team lead.

The Assignment was to design a folly with experiential qualities. We Used Mylar as our Base Material and explored different reactions it had to flowing air.
“As I walk towards the mirage of light, I become more contemplative. Reflections of light appear on the building, on the lawn, on myself.
I’d like to be surrounded by mylar. As I enter, the gentle rustling mylar closes around me. I can’t see any buildings; all I can see and feel is the sensation of mylar. This voluptuous interior feels like it’s breathing, and a slow pulse calms me as the rhythm of the world slips from my memory.”

The 60 Sqkm masterplan was developed for an RFP of an invited competition and was envisioned as a city of smaller towns within parks. We worked on this project in collaboration with Arup, Andropogon and Full Spectrum of New York. The project package included an as-is analysis of the city today and a vision plan with a 50 year time line. I was involved in the entire process that started with a site visit to the steel city to survey and document on-site conditions existing today and to understand the local character and fabric of the city. Working closely with our expert partners gave me a great insight into a spectrum of urban design & master planning parameters. Extracts from the Jamshedpur Masterplan | FSA
