ARCHITECTURE PORTFOLIO

Akash Singh

I am Akash singh, an architect from School of Design, Architecture, and Planning, Sharda University, Uttar Pradesh. Identifying as a young architect immersed in a global context, strongly advocate for our responsibility to others and recognize the transformative potential of architecture in societal change. My approach involves actively seeking the input of users and inhabitants in the design process, with a dedicated consideration for cultural heritage. While prioritizing sustainable architecture over mere spectacle, also place a high value on innovation and thoughtful experimentation. My focus is on the collaborative endeavor of “creating city” rather than pursuing personal fame.

02 COALESCE

Location - Lake Crescent, USA

Project - Competition

Year - 2021

The house is perched on the slope of Lake Crescent situated in Wash-ington, USA. The main objective of the house is to create a coalesce between two eras of time. It gives the pleasant atmosphere as well as the isolated paradise needed for a retreat from the world-wide pan-demic. A symbol of coalesce between chaos and rigid. The house’s primary objective was to make one connect to the nature and questions its own destructive existence.

The interior is transparent to open the house up to the view of pleasant hills and peaceful lake. Instead of ascending the house we have descended the house to keep it closer to the lake and feel as a part of nature itself.

The house being a coalesce between the modern times and medieval spaces. These give quality spaces to every function installed in the house and travelling through time.

A huge staircase descends us from the entrance to the view of aquarium whose fishes would greet you. An aquarium which is placed on the middle as it is filled with water because of the atmospheric pressure from the surrounding. The vacuum above being pulled by a pump to give it the infinite look.

“ A Green Symphony to Stay”

MINI AQUARIUM

A grand living room will welcome you to the left as well as other basic function will be stacked on the right. It gives a hierarchic division of the spaces. As the spaces such as gym and sauna would be buried in the back with a garage on the top as the house descends towards the water. The view to hills near by and water at bay could be viewed from all the bedrooms as well as from the huge designed spaces from the living room. The house becomes a pleasant retreat to chaos of the city lights to relax on the wilds.

“ Pioneering a New Era”

Institutional building/School

Third year studio/2021

The site of the project was at Patna, the capital city of Bihar. The area of the site was located at a remote location for a hassle free school environment.

Instead of multiple futile smaller schools the aim was to create a bigger and full facilated school for the children of the government schools.

In the project, we tried to deform the structural rationality of a standard expectations of a school and classrooms which through its uniformity had faded out the uniqueness and individuality of the institutional building.
