When dirt and oil in your pores come in contact with charcoal, they stick to it and then get washed away when you rinse. It is known as the “black diamond of healers,” according to skincare guru May Lindstrom. Once you rinse off the charcoal, beneficial minerals like calcium, potassium and magnesium are all released into your skin.
