Patrick Rader, a professor of English at LSSC, will discuss managing chronic pain drug free and how he uses the works of late author Hunter S. Thompson to help him manage the severe pain he has dealt with since a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1999. Brenda Skoczelas, professor of physics at LSSC, will talk about how she has developed ways to test for nerve damage in a patient using the magnetic field. Kallie McDaniel is a 17-year-old graduate of LSSC working on dual bachelor’s degrees in neuroscience and biology for her pre-med track before going to Mercer University to pursue a doctorate in regenerative medicine.
