The Audi Q5 Experience
No make-up. A lot of expression. New views. You will recognize the progressive design of the Audi Q5 at ďŹ rst glance. Broadly arranged rear lights give the car a distinct accent. Combined with the optional xenon plus headlights, the rear lights use LED technology. Practical and attractive, the encompassing tailgate not only lends an unmistakable appearance to the rear, it also makes loading and unloading of the large luggage compartment more comfortable. Webless, joint-free, shiny roof rails and the corresponding removable roof crossmembers are part of the standard equipment.
Design
Clear lines, smooth surfaces, the characteristic Audi face with the Singleframe grille – the Audi Q5 radiates both sportiness and elegance. And its appearance indicates presence: with a vehicle length of 4,629 mm and a width of 1,898 mm, it immediately draws attention. Yet it still has one of the best drag coeďŹƒcients in its class, which it owes among other things to its coupĂŠ-type roof line. And its power is immediately perceivable.

Design
Numerous intelligent details show just how well conceived the Audi Q5 is: the electrically adjustable exterior mirrors have integrated LED indicators, the lever-type door handles make opening easier and are painted in the vehicle body colour. The standard xenon plus headlights are equipped with bright LED daytime running lights, which are more economical and durable than conventional bulbs due to their dimmable LED elements.

Show strength. Keep moving. Reach new goals. High in torque and eďŹƒcient: the TDI engines in the Audi Q5. They are characterised by quiet operation, excellent engine acoustics and agile driving behaviour. The 2.0 TDI engine with 125 kW reaches its maximum torque of 350 Nm at just 1,750 rpm and develops its power evenly, ďŹ lling you with fascination. In just 9.9 seconds you reach 100 km/h.

The most powerful diesel engine in the Audi Q5 is a 3.0 TDI aggregate with 176 kW, which accelerates your car from 0 to 100 km/h in only 6.5 seconds. But even if you’re not in the process of overtaking, you can fully enjoy the superior driving feeling: sporty and demanding – yet at the same time, relaxing and comfortable.

A new way of driving: sporty, comfortable and with agreeable consumption values. The petrol engines for the Audi Q5 are equipped with the Audi valvelift system, which contributes to the reduction of fuel consumption. The 2.0 TFSI, 155 kW output, combines the advantages of FSI® with those of exhaust gas turbocharging. This combination of FSI® concept and turbocharger not only enables excellent efficiency and dynamics, but also improves engine power. You will notice it as soon as you accelerate the 2.0 TFSI engine with 155 kW. Fitted with the S tronic, it takes you from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds.

Sporty driving. Flexible driving. Discovering new potential. The latest generation of ESP provides intelligent technical support: this vehicle stabilisation system is, of course, standard. A new sensor system recognises whether you have attached the standard roof crossmembers. The system then adapts to the higher centre of gravity caused by the load. Just as intelligent: the servotronic as standard. This special power steering is speed sensitive, meaning that you receive more support when driving slowly, e.g. when manoeuvring, than when driving fast. This enables more exact and targeted control. ABS with traction improvement recognises when you are driving oroad and adapts functions accordingly. And at the push of a button you can adjust the ESP support to oroad operation.

30 years of quattro® The quattro® permanent all-wheel drive supports you when cornering, on snow or wet roads and during offroad driving. quattro® distributes the driving force to both axles as required – in the basic setting 40% to the front axis and 60% to the rear one. This provides extremely good traction and more safety. The S tronic ensures comfortable yet sporty gear shifting. Due to the dual clutch transmission, the next gear is already engaged before you select it. Thus you can change gear – without any perceptible break in propulsive power – between seven gears.

Each route is dierent, many of them are challenging. It is good to be prepared for unexpected situations. Numerous technical innovations await you in the Audi Q5, helping to bring you safely to your destination. The Audi parking system plus, which signals the front and rear clearance according to the direction of travel, visually on the display and with acoustic signals. If you wish you can also make use of the camera support function of the Audi parking system plus with reversing camera.

The large sized brakes are adapted to the high driving performance of the Audi Q5 and oer excellent stability. The brakes respond powerfully even to low pedal pressure. The electronic parking brake is standard, and the optional Audi hold assist helps prevent accidental rolling away when stationary. In the event of an accident, the engine and petrol supply are immediately stopped, the door locking mechanism is opened and the hazard lights activated. The interior of the Audi Q5 is equipped with an airbag system: adaptive full-size driver and front passenger airbag with seat position recognition function, side airbags at the front and head airbags for all seats are standard. The front seats are additionally equipped with belt tensioners and adaptive belt force limiters, and the special seat structure impedes slipping underneath the seat belt. The highly rigid passenger compartment made from quality steel with improved deformation qualities oers extremely good protection.

Who says that numerous devices are required for many vehicle functions? The Audi Q5 is equipped with the symphony radio system radio, CD player and SDHC card reader, all of which are centrally controlled by the MMI®. The optional bluetooth interface with MMI® high offers even more functions. It also offers access to the various integrated audio sources such as hard drive, DVD player (audio/video), two SDHC card readers (MP3 and WMA files) and AUX-IN connection. And the management of your address book with up to 2,000 entries is now really easy. Not only is the functionality in the interior impressive, so is the tone quality of the sound system. The Audi sound system indulges your senses with ten loudspeakers including centre speaker, subwoofer and amplifier.

The instruments are sensibly and ergonomically arranged – as the driver you have all the important information available at a glance. The generous loading capacity of 540 l can accommodate almost everything you need for a relaxing holiday, an extensive shopping spree or a spontaneous weekend trip. The low loading height of just 693 mm makes loading really easy. A loading width of 1,050 mm adds to the convenience. Underneath the loading floor there is an additional storage compartment, which can be equipped with a tray upon request. The rear seat system plus with its load-through facility and the rear seats which are longitudinally adjustable by 100 mm increase the loading space volume. By tilting back the rear seats completely the loading volume can be increased to 1,560 l. A journey in the Audi Q5 comes to an end: full of comfort and sportiness, relaxation and dynamics.
