The color emphasizes the nature of the functions proposed within the building, and the functions echo the proposed program that would work with this spatial organization. The functions are also placed with the intention of opening up to the natural light with thereby reducing the visual weight of the building.
Below - The site being located on a hill right next to the SCAD DMC building. This allowed the b uilding to open up on the north side overlooking the freeway, thereby adding to the city’s skyline. The opening up of the building on the north side also reduced the effects of the harsh southern sun.

Left - If holographic technology were to be incorporated into design thinking and the design studios were to have open spaces that project designs into the virtual space, the result would be an unlimited overlapping of colors and textures pushing the experience into a 3 Dimensional Setting.
Design Parameters Below, Right - Computational analysis as an overlay helps in inuencing the development of the form while keeping the building functions in-tune to it. The purpose is to ďŹ nd a rationale for the use of computation to help with the design development. The parameters should echo the premise of the project. SCAD was used as the main parameters for wanting to start new in Atlanta.
As Scad is a big proponent of color in design, the hue value was selected as the ďŹ rst parameter. The second parameter was the geometric line that connects the four SCAD locations from around the world.
+
The hue value was used to develop the form along the second parameter being the geometric line. The two are but an example of the rationale that could possibly make the computational design method more approchable.

Skin Analysis
North Skin The parameters inuenced the design development to an extent that the ecological aspects were highlighted. The resulting skin acts as a barrier in preventing the harmful sun from entering the open interiors but still allowing the max amount of light.

Above: The proposed skin on either side is composed of brushed aluminum. The waffle-shaped pattern produced from the hue values bring about an irregular pattern, that when moved based on the sun path produces max efficiency in functioning as a sun and wind barrier.

Urban Analysis Left, Below - Based on the urban analysis, the movement appears to be cluttered. It happens back and forth between the residential and the commercial areas ďŹ nally leading up to the Basilica. This disarray in the movement has a structure to it which is imposed by the needs of the consumers.
The urban movement when compared with the movement in a farmer’s market have striking similarities, which dictates the application of the proposed functions on the site.

On-Site Anchors
Proposed Massing
The concept of movement when applied to the site appears random and unintentional.
A more deliberate approach is chosen by adding in the anchors on site, to which the movement would be directed to.
The proposed movement brings about the walkways, that provides a strong framework around which the functions would be anchored to.

Inflight Design Studio
Project Type: Institutional Site: Pittsburgh, PA Role: Concept and Design Development A new age take on the concept of knowledge for all. Through the ‘Big Shift’, poeple are given unlimited access to resources that improve the quality of life as well as connect with others.
By acting as the hub of information, Inflight allows for infintie engagement within the community. The Inflight also brings in technology and activity to that area by in corporating sustainiable attributes.
The Intention
The core idea of IOT foundry is unidirectional in its approach. With the belief to make the concept of IOT more accessible to the general people, a multidirectional approach is preferred. With familiarizing the people as the main intent the core idea is updated with two new

categories, which are the interdependent and the supplementary functions. This adds a layer of sub-categories that would attract the people to utilizing the building. This subconscious effort to affect the consumers would positively affect the future development of IOT.
Building Form Manipulation
The element of horizontality of the building allows for the human scale to be maintained . Hence the functions are distributed along the entirety of the site.
The building is introduced with 2 markers that act as attractors to the users on the site.
The building is furthe trimmed off of its mass to adhere to the human scale that would positively affect the usability of the building.
The pathways that cut across the building are extended from the existing urban grid that defines and contains the user movements while transitioning from the urban realm to that of the IOT.

Bhuvan Residence Anil Dube Architects Project Type: Single - Family Site: Chennai, India Role: Design Development and construction Drawings The single-family home is two-storied, with a 2 bedroom unit on the first floor and 3 bedroom unit on the second floor. The 1 - bedroom unit on the rear side is divided into 2 floors to be incorporated in a small footprint. The level 1 also consists of a small office which opens up into the street. The house is to be supported by stilts as the marshy soil makes it the only method of construction and the service core being different for the apartments makes it easier to maintain privacy and provide better accessibility for the spaces above. With functionality being high on the agenda, the project follows a ‘form follows function’ approach to conceiving the desired design.

St. Andrew’s School Hundred Hands
Project Type: Institutional Site: Bengaluru, India Role: Construction Drawings This K-12 project is primarily designed around a courtyard. With the design intent being to open the classrooms to the outside environment, a universal grid was adopted with the adding and subtracting of the spaces that resulted in its current form. The construction details are but a small portion of design intent added to the project to help enhance the core functionality of the project, yet maintaining the original concept of maximizing the usability of the space on a stringent budget.

Garden Terrace DSK Architects
Project Type: Single-Family Site: Bengaluru, India Role: Construction Drawings The five-story building is a multi-family home designed to have four 2 bedroom units on the first two stories and three 3 - bedroom units on the remaining three stories. The design aesthetic follows a clean, modernist approach with rectilinear geometry to produce a minimalistic response. The verticality of the building is negated by the conspicuous horizontal elements to conform to the human scale and fit into the present urban context.
60
Zeus DSK Architects Project Type: Single-Family Site: Bengaluru, India Role: Construction Drawings The project is located on a rectangular site sandwiched between single-family homes. The five-story building consists of three 3-bedroom units on each story with a gym on the top floor. The building language characterizes the usage of timber and brick materials to positively influence the ecological and living conditions within the building. The project emphasizes the horizontal elements to maintain the human scale and the wavering front faรงade is designed to maximize the amount of light entering the building but simultaneously minimizing the heat entering the building.
62
Manohar Residence DSK Architects
Project Type: Single-Family Site: Hyderbad, India Role: Interior Design development and construction drawings The project looks at coupling the modernist design aesthetics of the exterior elements with the classical elements for the building interiors. This single family home consists of a large central atrium that provides access to the upper levels. The building was designed to emulate the feeling of strength and that heaviness was a premeditated effort for a single-family home to make a statement about its design intentions.
