The BRTS was developed prior to the consideration of the new Capital City, so there is possibility to extend and/or incorporate the BRTS to the new Capital City, as well as satellite communities in the Capital Region. There are presently no plans for integrated public transportation in the Andhra Pradesh region. Other types of public transportation, such as mass transit and light rail, must be introduced in and around the region taking the future demand into consideration. The region needs an integrated public transportation network to connect the capital city and regional centers.
