D O U B L I N G T H E I M PA C T The year of 2015 has already been a season of immense growth for Akola Project. Responding to increased product demand, including the launch of Akola for Dillard’s in March, has allowed Akola to provide empowerment to hundreds of new women and children living in extreme poverty.

HUNDREDS MORE WOMEN In the first three months of 2015, Akola expanded the vocational training and dependable employment to hundreds of new women across seven villages. Each women provides for on average 7 child dependents and 2 adult dependents, multiplying the impact of expansion by thousands.

AKOLA ACADEMY In 2015, goal based programs will be incoporated into Akola Academy. Not only will Akola offer a series of educational programs to holistially address the needs of woman in our program, but each woman will have ownership of her personal development goals. Educational programs and a mentor support system will be assigned to each women to help them reach their goals with success.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT IN DALLAS In January, Akola Dallas launched a second phase, this time offering vocational training and dependable work opportunities in jewelry production. Akola partners with 8 Dallas-based organizations that care for women far vaious walks of marginalization including formerly sex traffick victims, formerly incarcerated, immigrant women and women living in extreme poverty.
