What does it mean to have a human and non-human exist in the same place? Not all spaces are occupied without humans. This performing arts center in Brooklyn, New York, brings together snakes and humans in a six storey building. Along with the rich history of arts in DUMBO and the curvilinear structure of the textured snake skin, the design proposes spaces which are accessible to act as a ritual space, an exhibition path as well as a performing arts space.

Your office becomes where you spend the most amount of time of your day This project fulfills the goals of the United Nations. It involves transitioning from public spaces to private spaces, using limited materials. These create a form of hierarchy between different programs in Manhattan’s Financial District.

What does it mean to have feel like you have a safe place, like home, when you’re travelling? A surreal combination and mixture of private and public spaces aligning both together and apart. This hostel’s atmosphere provides serenity and peace, with its ability to make people feel cool and comfortable in Qena, Egypt. What does it mean to live in a home with three different generations of people? This dwelling solves a dichotomy of too much and too little privacy in a typical housing situation. Allowing panels that can be kept open or remained closed, allow people to interact with one another or also keeping them in their own space. This allows for a perfect mix of privatized individual spaces along with public bonding spaces for the family of four, a grandmother, a father, a mother and their son, in Brooklyn, New York.

Is the aiport a place where one can sit and peacefully eat, or is the airport a place where people are always in a hurry? This project addresses a restaurant at the JFK Aiport in Queens, New York. The facade is a proposal for people to stand and eat while their luggage remains safe. This backs up the trend where people usually stand and eat or “take-out� their meals at the gate. The facade also allows large numbers of entry and exit points so it is easier for the passangers to be on the go.

A community center that brings people together in time of need, for the supplies they would need. This project transforms the Stanton Building, in Sara D. Roosevelt Park, New York, to a community center. It aims to bring people of the Lower East Side together, because of the diversity in cultures. This affords interaction and cross-cultural relationships when people inhabit the space. The proposal provides people an insight of how one can be more sustainable.
