AKSHATA VISPUTE 01
I recently completed my education as masters in furniture and interior design from Unitedworld Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. I have worked as an intern for shantanu garg design in jaipur spanning a period of six months. My ideal career would be to work in residential or commercial design at a firm where I can gain experience, meet new people, inspire others, and push myself beyond what I think I’m capable of. Interior Design is more than a job, it is the creation of a sensory experience. It is form and function. Design is complex, but if done right looks effortless. I am a true believer that if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.

Loose Furniture Design Centre Table
This furniture design studio focused on designing a piece of furniture for a Bridal boutique taking an inspiration from any one of the historic eras. I chose the Persian Islamic style as my inspiration to design a centre table for my boutique store. I decided to particularly explore the persian calligraphic script to design the form.
21
Concept Development Characteristics of the style: Luxury, Royal and Divine features. Use of eleborate designs, geometric patterns, study of proportions, symmetry and balance. Materials used for the style: Metal, Glass, Mosaics, Teak and Ebony, Ivory and Pearl inlays.

Nature And Form Exhibition Kiosk
This project is inspired from the aquatic creature, jellyfish, which are soft bodied, free swimming aquatic animals which range from 1mm to 2m in size. The main intention of this project was to understand the design process and understand how a form can be derieved from the inspirations. I have designed an Exhibition Kiosk especially for a cosmetic brand that wants to launch a new product and has put that single product on display.

Attribute - Fragile
Attribute - Free Flowing Attributes of Jellyfish
Inspiration - Jellyfish Attribute - Expansion Contraction
Form Exploration
Jellyfish has an interesting set of attributes which include camouflage, adaptibility, illuminous body and many more out of which i chose free flowing, fragility and the ability to expand and contract for form exploration.

This is a collaborative project made with a group of four people. The intention of this project was to understand the physical properties of cardboard and designing a piece of furniture. The concept we came up with was to create a coffee table out of an entire sheet of cardboard, experimenting with surface development technique, rather than cutting the cardboard in pieces and then joining them.
