We were asked to design a Library for a University. Being a student ,I felt that in this age the Library is not just a place to read books and it needs to have spaces which induce interaction and exchange of knowledge.

SITE Punjab University REQUIREMENT : To design a Library which caters to all departments like Law,Arts Commerce etc.

CONCEPT

LIBRARY STUDIO PROJECT INDIVIUAL 2018

......to change the perception of a Library from being

It was achieved by the use of glass and reinforced concrete. Like the space in the centre which is inspired by the Stepwells of india .

SITE Near Sukhna Lake REQUIREMENT : To design a display module for the goods brought for the weekly Organic Farmers’ Market.

The design module is convenient and efficient to use by the farmer. The multi facilitated design helps the farmer as he can use any permutation and combination of the three types of modules ,whichever suits his product best! WE MADE 3 VARIATIONS : ONE,TWO AND THREE FACES COVERED MODULES

SOME VARIATIONS THAT WERE USED BY THE FARMERS

ANDC OBJECTIVE : - To explore philosophical and

conceptual notions of betwixt spaces.

-

To identify the presence and the form of such spaces as understood in the local context.

-

To reinvent such a space in the present scenario over a site of personal selection.

NATIONAL LEVEL COMPETETION BY NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STUDENTS OF ARCHITECTURE, INDIA

Using a physical liminal space to generate a mental liminal phase - which in turn will pave the way for change. Without changing any of the Street elements,we embrace the chaotic character of the public realm and only break them down into simpler parts which can be used as per the needs and whims of the use. For example : The Berm becomes a cycle stand or a seating space,or it combines with multiple other elements to form something completely new.
