CONVERGE COMPREHENSIVE STUDIO Partner: Nicole Lee 2019 -In Progress We believe that the most unique feature of our site is that it acts as a nexus-numerous neighborhoods of Boston converge in this one location with largely unobstructed views. The Boston skyline is directly north. The South End is just over the bridge. Dorchester Ave and W 2nd Street that stretch for miles and terminate at our site. Our goal was to curate these intersecting paths and experiences into our building forms and the landscape. Green spaces proliferate the site to create a satisfying ending for the harbor-walk in this industrial neighborhood. The unique shape of the folded plate lends itself to become a focal point from all these converging paths. Bringing these connections into our site generates a social hub that is essential to the success of rebuilding a community.

UPCYCLE VILLAGE Graduate Design Studio Somerville Upcycle Center Spring 2018 To design an Upcycling Village where people can see the beauty That forms from various different forms of reusing their “trash. This highlights the importance of reusing and re creating. The Upcycle Center includes composting, recycling, farming, and an industrial market space. The site also includes markets, and local the angles of the surrounding blocks and buildings. This aids in creating a site that stands alone and is different from the rest. By creating the block grid (inspired by organization crates), unique experiences are created all throughout the site with cantilevers, tunnel- like openings, and activated roofs to maximize. By maximizing real estate area including roofs, the site displays the true power and impact upcycling can have on the neighborhood and local community

OWEN’S PLACE INTERIOR DESIGN SENIOR THESIS A Healing Center Spring 2015 Coral reefs are made of millions of tiny fragile minerals, each with their own shape and structure. They rely on photosynthesis to survive and are selfhealing, transforming and growing when damaged or disturbed... Taking corals as an inspiration to build a refuge for children (3-18) who have survived or are fighting cancer. The healing center is not a hospital; It is a place to rediscover your spirit, body, and mind during the ravages of cancer. The individual person is the focus and not their disease (cancer). The spaces provide comfort while the activities while encouraging and strengthening the children mentally and physically .
