DAY ONE DAY two
On day two, students were bused around Montgomery to various sites of historical importance in Alabama. The first stop was the Alabama Department of Archives & History. Students walked through the decades of our state’s history, where they learned about many different important events that built Alabama as we know it today. Next was the state capitol, where students took an informative tour of the building before posing for pictures on the historical steps.
Last, but not least, was Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church. Students were met by the wonderful Wanda Battle, who engaged the students with an inspirational message.

Back at the convention center, Cea Cohen Elliott spoke with the students once more and led them through a wellness session, and a financial activity was soon to follow. Before dinner and a dance, students had a chance to hear from Martha Roby, former U.S. Representative.
