PIONEER ELECTRIC BOARD OF TRUSTEES election information

The Pioneer Electric bylaws specify the qualifications for board of trustees candidates. These include:

1. Must be a member in good standing whose primary residence is within the district represented.

2. Cannot be employed by, or financially interested in, a competing enterprise or business selling supplies to the C ooperative.

3. Cannot have been employed by the Cooperative within the previous six years.

4. Cannot be a close relative of an incumbent Trustee or an employee of the Cooperative.

Districts

The positions up for consideration in 2023 are District 3, District 6 and District 9. District maps are available at any Pioneer Electric office or online at pioneerelectric.com/board-trustees.

Responsibilities

The Board of Trustees of Pioneer Electric Cooperative directs the business and affairs of the company by setting policies and providing guidance and direction to management.

Deadline

Any person interested in running for a position on the Board of Trustees must complete and submit a petition and questionnaire — available from Pioneer Electric — by Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 4 p.m. The petition must be signed by 25 Pioneer Electric members in good standing who reside within the district.
