Installers and line crew keep the system running smoothly

It takes a highly-trained and skilled workforce to deploy NAFiber, and at North Alabama Electric Cooperative, we have some of the best professionals in the business. Maintaining the NAFiber system is no small undertaking — constant maintenance and upkeep are necessary to keep high-speed internet running to your homes and businesses. Our NAFiber team consists of two main departments: fiber installers and the fiber line crew.

Fiber installers

The fiber installers prepare the space for connection, install new services and troubleshoot fiber equipment. If you ever have an issue with your service, you’ll most likely see one of these friendly faces troubleshooting and resolving the issue.

Fiber line crew

The fiber line crew handles the new fiber infrastructure construction and maintenance of above-ground and underground fiber networks. They are responsible for installing both underground and overhead lines and performing inspections of fiber optic lines for installing new fiber service, replacement and repair.
