Ariton FFA Farm Day

Pea River Electric was happy to participate in Farm Day at Ariton School, sponsored by the Ariton Future Farmers of America (FFA). Pea River safety coordinator Jeffrey Hubbard and lineman Ricky Wolfe shared some safety tips with the students and also let them try on some of the equipment electric lineman use to keep them safe when they work.

Students learn how to stay safe by keeping away from downed power lines and pad mounted transformers with underground lines. They also learned not to play on or around the guy wires that help hold electric poles in place.
