*TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1.
For a solar water heater to be eligible for Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), the unit must be installed on or after 1 January 2011, and must displace electricity. The unit must therefore either: a. Replace an existing electric water heater that has been installed at the same location for over 1 year; or b. Replace an electric-boosted solar water heater that has been installed at the same location for over 1 year. In this instance, the number of certificates for which the system is eligible will be the difference between the existing and new solar water heater; or c. Be installed in a new building. d. Solar water heaters replacing gas water heaters, gas-boosted solar water heaters, or water heaters using any other fuel are not eligible for STCs.

For a Solar Hot Water Heater installed on or after 11 September 2006 the heater is eligible for the amount of the REC’s listed in the Schedule 7 of the Renewable Energy Regulation 2001, and the unit can now, a) Replace an existing solar water system b) Replace an existing gas hot water system c) Replace any other existing hot water system

Certificates may only be created once during the life of the installation and they must be created within 12 months of the installation date.

By signing this form, I assign the rights for this installation to create Renewable Energy Certificates for the above system to Dux Manufacturing Ltd in exchange for: a. Payment to be received by me which is equal to the value of the Renewable Energy Certificates created from the installation of the solar hot water system, or b. The discount that I received on the purchase of the solar hot water system which is equal to the value of the Renewable Energy Certificates that will result from the installation of the solar hot water system.

Where I have received a discount on the purchase of the solar hot water system, I acknowledge that Dux Manufacturing Ltd will pay EcoSmart Hot Water an amount equal to the value of the Renewable Energy Certificates that will result from the installation of the solar hot water system as I have indicated on the previous page.

I understand that I will not be able to sell or assign to anyone else my rights to these certificates and any other rights that may be associated with the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Where I am registered for GST, I understand that any payment made to me is inclusive of GST and is for the assignment of my rights

I agree that I will not be entitled to any payment if my assignment is invalid or if Dux Manufacturing Ltd cannot create or register the certificates. If payment has already been received by me, I agree to reimburse the full amount to Dux Manufacturing Ltd.
9.
I agree that the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator (“ORER”) and/ or Dux Manufacturing Ltd or its appointed agent can inspect my system within the first five years of operation.
10. I have checked that the details on this form as well as the installation report are correct 11. I understand that the information on this form will be made available to Dux Manufacturing Ltd, EcoSmart Hot Water and ORER and the AGO but will not be used for any other purpose but to create, check or audit Renewable Energy Certificates or to verify eligibility under the SWH Rebate Program. 12. I understand that there may be penalties applied for providing misleading information in this form under the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000.
