The $29 million three-year overhaul completely changed the function and character of the space. County Commissioners Jonathan Houck, Liz Smith, Laura Puckett Daniels and former commissioner Roland Mason cut a ribbon standing next to a large wooden topographic map of the valley — an art piece that welcomes travelers to the new terminal space. “This is going to be a fantastic asset for the community because the oceans join continents, roads connect cities, air connects the whole world,” said Airport Manager Rick Lamport.
