Hand Crafted Simon G. Jewelry Simon G. jewelry is handcrafted by Simon G. himself. Located in Los Angles, Simon mainly crafts rings, but he also makes earrings and necklaces too. The process that goes into making Simon G. jewelry makes his pieces not just simply jewelry, but family heirlooms that will last for generations.
The Beginning Simon and his wife are originally from Beirut, but they moved to Los Angles to start their business only a few years after Simon began making jewelry. Like any masterpiece, making the jewelry takes a lot of time and effort and since each piece is hand-crafted, the process is understandably lengthy. To start a new design, Simon begins with a sketch. He draws out the new piece and before any metal or diamonds are involved, the picture is changed and altered perhaps a dozen or more times before it’s finalized and approved. After this, a CAD model of the picture is made so that it can be viewed in 3D. This step of the process is crucial to the final product. Each piece of Simon G. jewelry is reviewed for countless hours in 3D before the crafting starts so that any and all flaws are found and fixed. Manufacturing Every piece of Simon G. jewelry goes through ten quality control stations, one after each step in the manufacturing process. The process begins with Simon alloying his own metal, which is generally 18k gold, platinum, palladium, and iridium. These metals make each piece more durable and they also give the jewelry a longer lifespan. They are also desirable for the complex milgrain, filigree, and engraving that makes Simon G. jewelry look so unique. When working with white gold, Simon alloys it with palladium. This makes the jewelry item non-allergenic and it also helps the pieces to stay white. Once the frame is completed and checked for quality ten times over, the diamonds are set by hand before being inspected by an experienced artisan. Simon’s business even employs their own specialists to inspect the pieces once the diamonds are set because some diamond-setters only work on the pavÊ settings. Some only work with the channel-settings, and even more only work on the prongs.
The Finished Product Even after the diamonds are set and the finished piece has been checked by specialists and artisans, the jewelry isn’t quite done. After the manufacturing process and diamond setting, each item of Simon G. jewelry goes through one more quality control check before being put through a hand-machine polishing session before it’s ready to be sold and worn. Every diamond is conflict free and each ring is made with four prongs to ensure that your diamonds will never fall out, and the jewelry is sold only at approved retailers across the United States and Canada. Every piece of Simon G. jewelry comes with a guarantee that it was made with the utmost care and attention so that your ring, necklace, or earrings will last longer than a lifetime.
