Security cameras can help provide critical information to help solve crimes in our community Please consider partnering with us by registering your security camera with the police department To date over 40 community members have volunteered for this partnership program Registration is voluntary and there is no cost associated with registration Registering your information does not provide the Albany Police Department with direct access to your camera and you may delete your registration at any time Your personal information will be kept confidential by the Police Department and will only be of need by law enforcement personnel if there is a criminal incident in your neighborhood or in the vicinity of your security camera

Albany Police and our community: Park & Walk Program
The Police Department initiated the Park and Walk program to walk Albany’s streets and personally engage with the community we serve This program helps officers and community members build relationships and gives officers a better sense of what the Albany Community needs from their first responders In 2021 alone, officers have taken part in over 180 Park and Walks, visiting Albany businesses and schools
