Save the Date: 2022 SAB Field Day

The ABC is planning to host a 1-day Southern Alberta Beekeepers (SAB) Field Day this June in the Lethbridge area. This event will focus on best management practices around pollination activities, grading hives for pollination, pesticide practices, and strengthening collaboration between beekeepers, crop producers, and seed companies.

Highlights of the event will include:

• Event will take place on Thursday, June 16, 2022 • Hosted by the Alberta Beekeepers Commission in collaboration with the University of Lethbridge (UofL) • The day will include: • Half-day of presentations • Half-day in-the-field component • An interactive panel discussion on canola pollination • Tour of UofL’s newly built state-of-the-art Science Commons building featuring the Nuclear Magnetic • Resonance (NMR) Lab • Breaks and lunch included. • Opportunity to network and connect with local beekeepers, scientists, seed companies and industry professionals.
