The trade show is the perfect time to connect directly with key suppliers and learn about new products, services, and secure special pricing and offers in person.

Hospitality Night

The Hospitality Night takes place on the first night of the conference and is one of the highlights of the two-day event. Entry to the hospitality night is included in all two-day and Thursday full-day delegate passes and takes place in the exhibit hall where all the vendors are located. Guests enjoy the opportunity to network with beekeepers and vendors over drinks and complimentary canapés and take advantage of our toonie bar specials.

This year we are excited to announce we will be featuring a LIVE AUCTION with 100% of the proceeds from the auction being donated to the Alberta Tech Transfer Program (TTP) to support honey bee health. We encourage all delegates, sponsors, and vendors to support the live auction by donating items in support of the auction. Items can be sent to our office prior to the event or bring them with you! Please contact jules.ham@ albertabeekeepers.ca for more information.

Hockey

Dust off your hockey gear and join us for our annual ABC Drones Hockey Game at the West Edmonton Mall Ice Palace. This year we are hosting a night game on Wednesday evening at 10.00pm (following the AGM that is taking place on Wednesday afternoon). All beekeepers and vendors are welcome and we look forward to an exciting game! Players are required to bring their own gear.

This year we have an exciting ‘Farm Monitoring’ prize pack up for grabs, worth over $1500! The prize package has some amazing tech that will help monitor and support the health and safety of your hives and farm operation including:

President’s Luncheon

The President’s Luncheon takes place on day two of the conference and includes the presentation of the Beekeeper of the Year Award and features an engaging key note speaker. This year we are proud to present key note speaker Lesley Kelly, High Heels & Canola Fields.

Lesley Kelly actively farms with her family at Watrous, Saskatchewan. Lesley is the head and heart behind the alias High Heels & Canola Fields where she dispels myths about agriculture and brings consumers and farmers together. Lesley’s goal in being involved in agriculture beyond the farm is to build community and bring people together, create conversation, collaborate and identify solutions that help both the industry and consumers.
