Albertine Press is a Boston-area design and letterpress print shop owned and operated by Shelley Barandes, a sometime-architect who just loved paper more. All of our products are printed on antique presses, marrying centuries-old techniques with modern technology. Our thick, 100% cotton paper not only enhances the depth and beauty of the letterpress process, but has the added benefit of being tree-free. We pair our creations with recycled envelopes as well as fully sustainable display packaging. Designs range from classic and elegant to witty and irreverent, making us a letterpress source for every occasion. The exquisite texture and quality of the finished pieces are certain to make an impression!
LINES :: A few strokes of the pen and a wry line of text are the hallmark of our signature line of A2 greeting cards.
AROUND THE WORLD :: Original cityscsape drawings adorn the kraft covers of our growing collection of 5� x 8� journals.
CARTES POSTALES :: Our popular cityscape drawings are now available as postcards, neatly packaged in a retail-ready display box. Keep an eye out for our little Albertine announcing the very newest and most popular offerings throughout the catalog.
LETTERPRESS LIBRARY :: Each volume in the Letterpress Library contains a set of eight decorative note cards. Any combination of volumes creates a beautiful ensemble collection. The cover designs recall classic book covers, but with a modern feel.
