WELCOME TO THE INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS ASSOCIATION AWARDS

The Independent Schools Association Awards have been launched to applaud excellence throughout its exclusive member schools. From head teachers and bursars to departments and pupils, these unique Awards underline the significant role that the ISA and its member schools are playing in the education of pupils and students in the UK. The Awards, which take place on May 15th, 2014 at Coombe Abbey, Warwickshire, will strengthen and expand relationships with key suppliers who will be recognised as playing a key role in supporting the Awards, the ISA and, therefore, all ISA members.

The value of schools The Independent Schools Association Awards will: • Provide schools with formal recognition of great practice. • Provide schools with a further marketing platform from which to promote their school/ facilities/ people to potential parents. • Provide a personal ‘career advancing’ accolade for individuals. • Be seen by members as a welcome recognition of their value to the education sector.

The categories for the inaugural Independent Schools Association Awards include: • ISA Award for Outstanding Sporting Provision • ISA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sport • ISA Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts • ISA Early Years Award for Innovation • ISA National Community and Partnership Award • ISA Green School of the Year • Outstanding Contribution for International Understanding • School Website of the Year • ISA Award for Financial Innovation • ISA Award for IT Innovation • ISA Award for Healthy Eating

• Additional categories may be added at a later stage, pending discussions with potential sponsors and ISA HQ. A shortlist of three finalists for each category will be drawn up following judging. The judging panel will comprise of: ISA CEO Neil Roskilly, ISA Marketing and Communications Officer Angie Shatford, an ISA Honorary Officer and Journal Editor Caroline Scoular. • The deadline for entries is April 11, 2014.

Where? Coombe Abbey Hotel, Warwickshire. The Awards ceremony takes place during ISA’s two-day Spring Conference.
