EN The arrival of the Three Kings is the most waited appointment by children and girls along all the year round. A Tourist National Interest Festival and also declared Intangible Asset of Cultural Interest, it brings every year thousands of visitors to Alcoi so that they may live the excitement of this hundred year old Cavalcade. Its continued celebration dates to 1885, though his documentary precedents go back to 1866. It is undoubtedly, one of the most ancient Cavalcades of Three Kings of all those they are celebrated in Spain and probably, in the world.
Each year, Alcoi Town Hall holds a competition for the best Poster announcing the arrival of the Kings, and the winning entry is posted on the facade of the Town Hall building.
DE Die Ankunft der Heiligen Drei Könige, der „Reyes Magos“, ist für Kinder das meistherbeigesehnte Ereignis des Jahres. Aber es ist auch ein Ereignis, das zum Fest von nationalem touristischen Interesse sowie zum inmateriellen Kulturgut ernannt wurde und Jahr für Jahr Hunderte von Besuchern nach Alcoi lockt, um die jahrhundertealte Tradition des Dreikönigsumzugs, der „Cabalgata“, und die Botschaft der Könige live zu erleben. Der Umzug wird seit 1885 kontinuierlich gefeiert, wenngleich er bereits 1866 erstmals in Schriftstücken erwähnt ist. Es ist zweifellos die älteste „Cabalgata de Reyes Magos” in ganz Spanien und vielleicht sogar in der ganzen Welt.
Jedes Jahr veranstaltet die Stadtverwaltung von Alcoi einen Wettbewerb, um das beste Plakat für die Ankündigung der Könige zu prämieren. Das Siegerplakat wird an der Fassade des Rathauses aufgehängt.
FR L'arrivée des Rois Mages est l'événement le plus attendu pour les garçons et les filles durant l'année. Une Fête déclarée Intérêt Touristique National et déclaré Intérêt Culturel, qui réunit chaque année des centaines de visiteurs qui veulent découvrir en direct le message et l'émotion de cette Parade centenaire. Elle est célébrée de façon continue depuis 1885, bien que son histoire documentaire date de 1866. C’est sans aucun doute, l'une des Parades des Rois Mages la plus ancienne de toutes les célébrations en Espagne et peut-être dans le monde.
Chaque année, la Mairie d'Alcoi lance un concours pour récompenser la meilleure Affiche à l'arrivée des Rois, qui est placé sur la façade de l'hôtel de ville.
EN As soon as November finishes, the beginning of the performances of the Betlem de Tirisiti marks the arrival of Christmas in Alcoi. This Betlem, declared Asset of Cultural Interest, is a singular sample of the popular theatre of puppet’s rod and constitutes one of the most attractive and original offers of our Christmas period. His performances have preserved the popular flavour of his argument incorporating scenes that combine the Christmas story with other local traditions of the past.

DE Weihnachtlich wird es in Alcoi bereits Anfang Dezember, wenn die Vorstellungen des “Betlem de Tirisiti”, ein ganz besonderes Marionetten-Krippenspiel, beginnen. Das „Betlem“ (Krippe) wurde ebenfalls zum Kulturgut von allgemeinem Interesse erklärt. Es ist eine einzigartige Form des Volkstheaters mit Stabmarionetten und wohl eines der attraktivsten und originellsten Angebote der Stadt zur Weihnachtszeit. Die Vorstellungen haben den volkstümlichen Charakter der Geschichten bewahrt und dabei typische Aspekte aus dem Alcoi vergangener Zeiten integriert.

FR À peine terminé le mois de Novembre, le début des représentations de Betlem de Tirisiti, indique l’arriveé du NoëL Alcoien. Le Betlem, déclaré Intérêt Culturel, est un exemple unique de théâtre de marionnettes populaire et constitue l'une des périodes de Noël la plus attractive et originale. Ses performances ont gardé le goût populaire de leurs scènes de genre mixte intégrant les aspects de Alcoi.

EN The “Pastoretes” is another specific Christmas event of Alcoi and usually takes place on the Sunday before the 5th January. It is a parade in which groups of boys and girls dressed as shepherds make a procession on adorned coaches and in groups of dance, distributing sweets and “aleluyas” to the public. At midday, the procession begins from the “Font Redona”, accompanied by flocks to arrive to the stable which is located in Plaça d’Espanya in order to leave their presents for the infant Jesus. DE Eine weitere Besonderheit der Alcoianer Weihnacht sind die “Pastoretes“ (Hirten), die stets am Sonntag vor dem 5. Januar veranstaltet werden. Es handelt sich um einen Kinderumzug mit zahlreichen als Hirten verkleideten Kindergruppen, die begleitet von Folkloretanzgruppen und Musik auf festlich geschmückten Wagen durch die Straßen ziehen und unter Halleluja-Rufen Bombons verteilen. Der Umzug beginnt um 12 Uhr mittags an der „Font Redona“ (Runder Brunnen) und führt bis zur Plaça d’Espanya, wo der Stall aufgebaut ist, in dem das Jesuskind beschenkt wird. Die „Pastoretes“ werden seit 1889 veranstaltet. FR Le "Pastoretes" est une autre particularité du Noël Alcoien. Il faut prendre sa place avant le Dimanche 5 Janvier. Il s'agit d'une parade infantile dans laquel, un grand groupe d'enfants, habillés en vêtements de bergers, sur des carrosses ornés et groupes de danse, distribuent des bonbons et des “aleluyas”. Le défilé commence à midi (12:00) à partir de la "Font Redona" accompagnés de leurs troupeaux jusqu'à la grange installé à la Plaça d'Espanya et les enfants font une offrande à Jésus. La célébration de cet événement remonte à 1889.
EN On the day before the Cavalcade, at half past six in the afternoon and from the Principal Theater, the “Pregó del Tío Piam” begins. It is a part of the celebration that was reincorporated in 1996, in which this popular figure announces the arrival of the Royal Ambassador. A group of men and women from the town, dressed in the traditional Alcoiano costume, walk to the “Font Redona” together with the characters of the Betlem de Tirisiti, in order to receive the Ambasador, who from seven o’clock in the evening travels the city’s streets, announcing the impending arrival of Melchior, Gaspar and Balthasar. DE Am Abend vor dem Dreikönigsumzug wird um halb sieben am Teatro Principal der so genannte “Pregó del Tío Piam“ (Ausruf von Onkel Piam) geboten, ein Festakt, der 1996 wieder eingeführt wurde und mit dem die Ankunft des königlichen Boten angekündigt wird. Eine in traditioneller Alcoianer Tracht gekleidete Gruppe von Männern und Frauen aus dem Ort gehen in Begleitung der Figuren aus dem „Betlem de Tirisiti” in Richtung „Font Redona“, um dort den Botschafter zu empfangen. Der zieht dann ab sieben Uhr durch die Straßen der Stadt, um die unmittelbare Ankunft von Melchior, Kaspar und Balthasar anzukündigen. FR La veille de la parade, à 18:30, depuis le Théâtre Principal se déroule le Pregó del Tío Piam, acte récupéré en 1996, dans laquelle ce personnage populaire proclame l'arrivée de l'Ambassadeur Royal. Un groupe d'hommes et de femmes du peuple, vêtu de vêtements traditionnels Alcoiens, se dirigent vers la "Font Redona" avec les personnages de Betlem de Tiristi pour reçevoir l'Ambassadeur, qui parcourt à 19 :00 les rues de la ville annonçant l'arrivée imminente de Melchor, Gaspar et Baltasar.
EN The Royal Band is a special act announcing the arrival of the Three Kings Cavalcade which is celebrated since 1924. The Emissary of their Majesties speaks out repeatedly along the tour a composition of popular verses in valencian language, the “Band”. A paper edition of this text is produced and distributed to the public who fill the streets. At the end of the parade, they join some donkeys that carry the saddle bag post boxes into which the letters will be posted to be quickly delivered to the Three Kings.
The royal entourage is made up of royal pages, traditionally known as “Els Negres”.The warm light of the camp fires from the Three Kings camp can be seen in the Serra de Mariola, generating excitement for their arrival the following day.
DE Der “Bando Real” (Königliche Erlass) ist ebenfalls eine sehr besondere, seit 1924 abgehaltene Veranstaltung und Vorspiel für den Dreikönigsumzug. Der Botschafter der Majestäten zitiert auf seinem Zug durch die Stadt fortlaufend einen in Versen auf valencianisch geschriebenen Erlass, den so genannten „Bando“. Dieser königliche Erlass wird zudem auf Papier unter dem Volk, das die Straßen säumt, verteilt. Das Ende des Umzugs bilden Esel, auf deren Rücken die Briefkästen geschnallt sind, in die Kinder ihre Wunschzettel stecken können. Die langen Listen mit den Traumspielzeugen werden an die Heiligen Drei Könige weitergeleitet.
Der Umzug besteht aus königlichen Pagen, liebevoll auch “Els Negres” (Die Schwarzen) genannt. In der Ferne ist in der Bergregion der Sierra de Mariola schwach das warme Licht der Lagerfeuer zu erkennen, die am Vorabend des Königsumzugs die Majestäten wärmen.
FR Le Band Royal est un événement unique, un prélude de la Parade des Rois Mages, qui se célèbre depuis 1924. L’émissaire de Leurs Majestés récite à plusieurs reprises le long du chemin une pièce littéraire de versets écrits en valencien, "El Bando " duquel on fait une édition papier à distribuer parmi le public qui a rempli les rues. A la fin de la procession des ânes transportent sur leur dos, des boîtes aux lettres, à l'intérieur duquel les enfants déposent des lettres écrites aux Rois Mages et qui demande les jouets de leurs rêves.
La délégation est composée des pages royaux, affectueusement connu sous le nom "Els Nègres". On entrevoit dans la Serra de Mariola, la lumière chaude des feux de camp en attendant l'arrivée de Leurs Majestés.
EN At nightfall on the 5th, at about six o`clock in the afternoon and from “el Camí”, the Three Wise Men make their impressive entrance into the city on camels. There are musicians, torchbearers and shepherds in the parade, as well as pages, who use long ladders to climb onto the balconies and give presents to the children. The order of the Kings is also a little different in Alcoi; King Balthasar, known as the “Rei Negre” passes in the center of the group and not at the end.
The Three Kings and their entourage reaches the Plaça d'Espanya at around eight o'clock in the evening and they descend from his mounts to go towards the Nativity scene. The emotional act of the Adoration takes place surrounded by hundreds of people with sparklers. This is followed by fireworks, the church bells are rung and the Händel’s Messiah is played. The procession brings much joy and the magie overpowered all the city. DE Am späten Nachmittag des 5. Januar ziehen gegen sechs Uhr über den Camí die Weisen aus dem Morgenland auf ihren Kamelen feierlich in die Stadt ein. Begleitet werden die Majestäten von Musikern, Fackelträgern, Hirten und Pagen. Letzteren obliegt es auch, über lange Leitern bis zu den Balkonen der Häuser hinaufzuklettern und dort die Geschenke an die Kinder zu überreichen. Auch die Anordnung des Umzugs ist in Alcoi eine ganz besondere: König Balthasar, bekannt als „Rei Negre“ (Schwarzer König), reitet in der Mitte der drei Weisen.
Das Gefolge erreicht die Plaça d’Espanya gegen acht Uhr abends. Die Könige steigen von ihren Reittieren herunter, um sich der Krippe zu nähern. Der Moment der Anbetung des Jesuskindleins ist gekommen. Unter dem Publikum werden Kerzen verteilt und der Festakt wird mit einem Feuerwerk und Händels „Messias“ abgerundet. Die „Cabalgata“ zieht jeden in ihren Bann und die Magie des Moments verzaubert ganz Alcoi.
FR Le soir du 5 janvier, à 18:00 et depuis el Camí, les Rois Mages font leur entrée solennelle dans la ville monté sur leurs chameaux. Le défilé comprend les musiciens, les porteurs de torches, des bergers et des pages allant jusqu'à de longues échelles pour accéder aux balcons des maisons et livrer les cadeaux aux enfants. L'ordre de la Parade est également unique à Alcoi, le roi Baltazar, connu sous le nom “El Rei Negre”, défile au centre de la partie, entre les deux monarques.
Le cortège arrive à la Plaça d’Espanya à 20:00, et les Souverains descendent de leurs chameaux pour se diriger vers la Naissance. L’instant de l’Adoration de l’Enfant Jésus est décoré avec l’effet des éruptions distribués parmi le public, et l'acte est célébré avec des feux d'artifice et l'interprétation du “Messie” de Haendel. La Parade déborde d’illusion et la magie intègre chaque recoins d’Alcoi.

DE Am Abend vor der großen Weihnachtslotterie „Lotería de Navidad“ versammeln sich bei der traditionellen „Cena del Pobre“ (Abendessen des Armen) Familie und Freunde und wünschen sich bei der Gelegenheit auch Glück für die Auslosung am nächsten Tag.
Losanteile für die “Lotería de Navidad” werden in Alcoi vorwiegend von den Fiestagruppen, den so genannten „Filaes“, auf kreative Art gestaltet und verkauft.
FR A la veille du tirage au sort de la loterie de Noël, la traditionnelle «cena del pobre" réunit des familles et groupes d'amis dans un environnement propice pour inaugurer la chance de ce concours rituel de Noël.
Les participations de la Loterie de Noël, principalement promue par les "filaes" ou des groupes de fêtards, prennent des formats créatifs. De même, il existe une collection de timbres de Noël ainsi que des coupons de la ONCE.
