My name is Aldeana Foster, and I am an architectural designer with over three years of experience in high-end custom residential projects. I’ve worked on notable homes, including the Cavis Point project in coastal Maine, where I collaborated with talented teams like Henrybuilt, Kristen Panitch Design/Interiors, and Cold Mountain Builders. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for good design and the importance of meticulous attention to detail.

I am currently looking for new opportunities using my experience in various projects. I am skilled in Revit, SketchUp, and 3D rendering tools. As a LEED Green Associate, I am working towards my LEED AP BC+C, then licensure, and I am passionate about incorporating sustainability into my work. I look forward to growing professionally and making meaningful contributions to future projects.

Cavis Point House, located along the coast of Maine, reflects a seamless integration of site, structure, and landscape. This 8000 square foot house reflects commitment to detail and the evolving needs of our clients. Designed under the guidance of a principal and project manager, I worked as a team. The house is inspired by the natural rocky landscape and is placed to take in ocean views and the small details of the coast.

The main floor, comprising 3,703 square feet, is defined by fluid, open spaces that encourage a natural flow between living, dining, and entertaining areas. Every detail—from the crafted woodwork to the sophisticated material palette—was selected to ensure both elegance and durability. The kitchen, with its seamless connection to the dining and sitting areas, serves as the home’s core, facilitating both intimate gatherings and larger social occasions.

The 1,854 square foot upper floor provides a retreat, housing a master suite with sweeping views, guest accommodations, and a dedicated gym space. A central gallery and open mezzanine create visual connections between levels, allowing light to filter through the home. Outside, a large deck off the main bedroom creates a connection between the indoors and outdoors. These spaces offer peaceful spots for the clients to enjoy the surrounding nature and allowing the residents to immerse themselves in the landscape.

A view into the library reveals a double-height space, open to the floor above, with custom shelves and a rolling solid wood ladder for easy access. The walls are clad in natural oak Dinesen paneling, paired with white concrete floors and white-painted joists framed by a Japanese-inspired back panel.

A view from the main floor shows the stairway leading to the upper level, featuring Dinesen wall paneling.

Each stair has a reveal between them, and the white-stained joists above

A view into the entry reveals a coat area wrapped in Dinesen panels, enclosing a Henrybuilt coat rack. In the gallery, leatherwrapped, white-stained columns stand out against the backdrop. The walls are made of handpicked, individually cut stone sourced from local Maine suppliers. The white concrete floors, featuring a pea stone aggregate mix, enhance the space’s natural yet refined aesthetic.
