FOOTW E A R We chose our footwear range in the same way that we chose our clothing from the best brands on the market to give you the greatest advantage. We have ranges from Mavic, Shimano and Bont. Accessor i es We offer a wide range of accessories and components essential to any rider, from tubes to pumps, locks and lights, tools, bags and helmets. In our fully equipped workshop we offer an attention to detail and service unrivaled in Edinburgh. We endeavor to complete any service as quickly as possible and will advise you if the work is likely to take longer or requires additional parts and labour. We are passionate about details and treat each bike as if its our own.
We offer a full custom build service; whether its road, cyclo-cross or 29er mountain bike we can advise on the best specification and component choices from our suppliers. Between us we have years of experience putting together high quality bicycles for a variety disciplines and can help you build the bike you’ve always wanted.
SERVICING
Supplied and built to the highest standards with the advantage of our bikefit facility we can also ensure the perfect fit.
Our Cytech Level 3 workshop manager has over a decade of experience at the highest level and we are happy to service any make or model of bike. For your convenience we offer three levels of service: _ Stage 1, Tune Up: £30 Recommended every three to five months. General safety check in which we check wear or play in the headset, bottom bracket, drivetrain and wheel bearings, braking surfaces and pad condition, check all fittings are present and tight, gear tune, brake set up, check and inflate tyres and lubricate chain. Includes labour only, any new parts required and the labour to fit them are additional. _ Stage 2, Regular Service: £70 Recommended every five to nine months. Stage 1 plus true wheels, adjust headset, bottom bracket and hubs and fit any new parts required. No additional labour charges. _ Stage 3, Complete Overhaul: £100 Recommended once a year. Stage 1 & 2 plus strip, clean and regrease headset, bottom bracket and hubs, strip clean and refit drivetrain and fit any new parts required. These are based on a bicycle that's ridden 5 days a week but if you have any specific requirements please just contact us and we can advise on the most cost effective way to get you back on the road. If your service or repair is more specific then please just contact us to discuss an individual quote. MAINTENANCE We also offer maintenance classes tailored to individuals or small groups; these are designed to give you an insight and the ability to carry out basic servicing or maintenance on your own bike or if you have specific technical issues you’d like to cover. We are keeping the classes small with a maximum number of three per session to ensure everyone gets the most out of them.

C Y C L E FITTI N G Bike fit can be the single biggest factor in your enjoyment of cycling. Whether you’re an experienced rider on a top tier race whip, or a newer cyclist on a second hand cruiser, any rider can be handicapped by a poor cycling position. As such, any rider can benefit from being fit by a trained expert. There is no magical ideal position that will make everybody a better cyclist, which is why our fit process is designed to find the best position for you. As everybody is different, our appointments can take anywhere from 1-2 hours. Each fitting session at Ronde is a highly personalised process. We’ll get you in for a chat over coffee about your goals, your priorities in riding, what you’re hoping to get out of a bike fit and any specific injuries or concerns you might have. You’ll then be assessed on your bike in our dedicated fit room and together we’ll work toward improving your comfort and performance on the bike. We can make recommendations for and provide any components you might need to improve your position*. This session can also be linked to our coaching and training services, helping you to achieve your goals earlier. A cycle fitting session is only £85, and if you’ve purchased a bike from us this will entitle you to 25% off. Factory and Hand Built WHEELS “Cycling for me star ted at the age of 3. I have toured, cycled for pleasure, raced on road, track and time trails to Inter national level for Great Britain. From the beginning I have ridden my own wheels and won championships on them. I still race today in time trails and track, mostly I use a pair of wheels with IRD Cadence Aero rims and regularly outperform those on discs and trispokes. Personally I believe a properly hand built wheel set can be as fast or faster than the current trend for exotic carbon fibre, factor y manufactured wheelsets. I built my first wheel in 1979, lycra had not been invented and steel was real. I built wheels for myself and some friends after lear ning from a small book someone in the cycling club loaned to me. From the word go I star ted to tr y out different spoke patter ns and wheel/rim/hub combinations. I star ted working in bike shops for a living in 1983 and soon got more wheel building experience under my belt. ‘Stainless’ spokes star ted to become more readily available, although some of the early ones were no stronger than chrome spokes and were more expensive to boot. Stainless steel spokes have now become standard of course and broken ones are rare if you buy a quality brand such as DT Swiss and Sapim. Spells in bike shops such as Condor Cycles London, Glasgow and Edinburgh all helped to add to my experience, although I continued to experiment in my spare time building ‘specials’ for my own requirements, be that touring with heavy loads or for ultimate low weight/top speed racing. I can make beautiful wheels with properly set spokes, the rims are stressed regularly during building to make the finished wheel as good as I can get it. I work slowly and steadily, I take great care in ever y step of the wheel building process to make sure the end user gets as good a wheel as is possible to produce with the components selected. After 30 years, I still get the satisfaction and a buzz ever y time the jig gives bir th to another wheel.”

We didn’t expect ENVE’s stability claims to translate into noticeable characteristics on the road and we're well aware that sometimes it can seem as if you find the traits you look for, but these wheels aren’t just a bit better behaved in bluster y conditions - the difference is incredible. You never get blown off line and a gust of wind is never able to grab hold of them to the extent that your stomach lurches from the sur prise and expectation of getting dumped on your face. If you’re thinking about buying some race wheels but you weren’t planning to spend quite this much then wait and save up for them. You won’t regret it.
Price: £1800 Our first ride on the Cosmic Carbone 40C wheels was incredible, these new wheels are ver y impressive and we can say with relative confidence that Mavic utilised the several years of development ver y well and have produced a solid product that features some legitimately advanced technology. The 40C’s most noticeable feature is its braking performance, over the course of several series of steep and rolling decants, the wheels produced an impressive amount of stopping power, relative to most carbon wheels we’ve ridden recently. _ A fantastic all-rounder and well wor th considering as your choice and go-to wheel upgrade.

Reynolds _ Wheels: Reynolds Aero 58 _ Price, £2099.00 As technology becomes more advanced, materials become cheaper and minds grow brighter, there’s more innovation happening in the area of competitive racing wheels. In other words, now we can have both - a drool-wor thy, allcarbon wheel set that can reliably handle anything. Reynolds is at the centre of that breakthrough with its new Aero line, that has been adapted from the company’s unaffordable RZR line of wheels. When we got word from our rep about the new advancements in airf low technology being used at Reynolds, we jumped at the oppor tunity to test these brand new Aero 58’s. The 58 AERO is a phenomenal allround wheel for the road racer, serious, performance orientated cyclist or that triathlete wanting just a little more of a competitive edge. Weighing 1580 grams per set, it is the lightest of the three AERO wheels.
