[ A DYNAMIC MATRIX FOR ANALYZING THE CITY ] INFO Masters dissertation in Architecture Supervisor: Prof. Riccardo Bedrone Assistant Supervisor: Arch. Francine Amsler with Pennazio Bianca 2012

Cities need solution. After analysing city problems, best practise and European programmes (just like Urban, Smart City,..), we created a tool which incorporates the key aspects needed to create efficient urban regeneration: the Matrix. The matrix has six main qualities: City planning, Built, Social, Urban Politics, Energy and Environment. Each quality has several guide lines/actions that we researched.

[ 18 ]

Each guidelines has a lot of connection with the other one and this “connection network” is the dynamic matrix.
