MAPPING PERCEPTIONS HAND GRAPHICS: A STUDY OF SCALE Savannah, GA With an analysis of City Scale to Building Scale, there is a variety of hand drawn techniques that are demonstrated throughout the project. As we approached a more intimate scale, we focused on the classic architecture of the Telfair Academy in Telfair Square of the Heathcote Ward. Later to the discover the phenomenology of place and how one begins to experience architecture.

The analysis of the site, Heathcote Ward, allows us to understand the design system of the typical ward, with its trust and tything lots, central square and its streets. This ward is known for the various styles of buildings that have developed over the centuries and it is depicted with a full analytique of the corresponding elevations. To further the building analysis, we evaluated the Telfair Academy elevation and floor plans to create a series of diagrams that depict the simple proportions and geometry.

The Phenomenology of Place Phenomenology is the conscious experiencing the architectural feeling, not the analysis of the architecture. The feeling of awe, silence or that initial reaction you experience within a space. Phenomenology is that raw emotion you feel that correlates to those distant memories. “Viewing the essence” of a space is something that will alter from person to person, because not one person is the same. We all face different experiences in our lifetimes, that will develop distinct memories that will connect us to the spaces differently even if it is the same “space.” These are the wonders of Phenomenology.
The city of Savannah is filled with locals and tourists that navigate through the streets and squares. The music of the humming engines and winded voices that bounce off the walls of the renowned Historic architecture. This music begins to create this correlation of auditory and visual perceptions creating a memorable moment in those spaces. By mapping the sounds of the local Savannah squares, a pattern begins to depict this theory of phenomenology. The sounds create a composition that naturally allow one to see the comparisons of the wards and how active some tend to be.

HEB COLLABORATION AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR WOUNDED VETERANS Texas | Savannah The design team of 16 representing SCAD collaborate with HEB aiming to design a series of prototypical singlefamily homes that can serve the needs of members of the United States armed forces who have sustained injuries from their military service. The focus of this project is on the injured veteran who can independently fulfill their daily routine.

THE NEST
The Nest home is designed to address the needs of the hero, provide comfort, connection to the outdoors, and a relationship between spaces to provide privacy. The organization of the rooms was inspired by open plan homes in its close
connection of public and private zones, but a low wall separates the two to create a comfortable distinction. The central courtyard and living room become the heart of the nest, cocooned by the surrounding sleeping and gathering spaces.

SITE PLAN
To preserve the natural aesthetic of the Roman ruins, we came to the decision of incorporating natural resources with some modern touches to create a
facility that begins to blend into the landscape creating a building that enhances importance to the existing rather than be an obstructive object in the field.

SAVANNAH ICE RINK RIVERSIDE LOCAL ICE RINK FACILITY Savannah, GA Between the analysis of hockey stops and the site context, a form becomes apparent and it begins to be responsive of the area. Taking concepts from different inspiration and translating to a tangible product of architecture. Thus, creating an ice rink facility for the city of Savannah, Georgia, allowing the community (locals and tourists) to enjoy a common space.

MISC | GRAPHIC DESIGN VARIETY OF WORK
The following works are developed by the extra curricular activities I have had the opportunities to partake in. They range from physical models, custom Instagram posts and design competitions. With these skills sets, it has allowed me to branch into different design fields, broadening all design approaches.
MODEL WORK
AIAS MARKETING
As the AIAS Marketing director, I am required to create posters for events as they occur. In addition to posters, I must also post on all social media to help provide awareness through something that we all have at hand, our smart phones.
