What is Architecture for me? Architecture is the activity of making spaces, by the idea of creating senses and emotions in the people, through relations that make cities a comfortable and sustainable place to live, improving our life for better, using materials, shapes, and nature as part of an integral design that lead to this idea of producing spaces for living. Also architecture must transcend through history contributing with the development and evolution of human kind.
¿Qué es la Arquitectura para mi? La arquitectura es la actividad de crear espacios, siguiendo la idea de brindar sensaciones y emociones a las personas, a través de las relaciones que hacen de las ciudades un lugar cómodo y sostenible para vivir, mejorando nuestra calidad de vida, con el uso de materiales, formas, y de la naturaleza como parte de una diseño integral que conduce a esta idea de producir espacios para vivir. Además la arquitectura debe trascender a través de la historia contribuyendo con el desarrollo y evolución de la especie humana.

The principal idea of this course was to establish some starter methods of design and in this case art gave us that chance, studying artistic movements, artists, cities, and architectural influences that have used this method to conceive their projects. AR00198. Forma y espacio. DESIGN I.
Design composition.
1st semester/1er semestre In architecture, a good design, needs to have some principles of composition, they have to be conceived in some kind of own idea that allow us, to imaging, flow, and most important to create. Art is a good example of a design starter method, it let us to be involve in colors, textures, shapes and emotions, and then it can be use as subtractions, points, lines, additions, extrudes, and many others principles of composition.
La idea principal de este curso es establecer algunos métodos de inicio de diseño y en este caso el arte nos dio esa oportunidad, el estudio de los movimientos artísticos, artistas, ciudades, y las influencias arquitectónicas que han utilizado este método para concebir sus proyectos.
COMPOSITION

En la arquitectura, un buen diseño, necesita tener algunos principios de composición, que son concebidos con algún tipo de idea propia que nos permita, proyectar, imaginar, fluir, y lo más importante crear. 2.

El arte es un buen ejemplo de un método de diseño de inicio, el cual nos deja involucrarnos con colores, texturas, formas y emociones, y luego se puede utilizar como sustracciones, puntos, líneas, adiciones, extrusiones, y muchos otros principios de la composición. East Elevation/Elevación Este.

Imagen y espacio. DESIGN II. 02. AR00203. Gallery house. 2nd semester/2do semestre Concept. The project is conceived with the idea of being a productive house, which can represents incomes for a family or the residents of the house. Context. Tenjo is well known for his agriculture and handicraft, so, this was an important fact for the project, because it helped to develop the idea of a productive house focus on art and handicrafts, so the program of the house contemplates a gallery, for different expositions and in which the family or residents can received incomes, about the enter of gallery, or the selling of all kind of art specially crafts. After the decision of the productive activity, the house was designed for users that live from arts, might be by making and selling their products or by renting the space for different activities that involved arts and crafts.

Concepto. El proyecto está concebido con la idea de ser una casa de productiva, lo que puede representar ingresos a una familia o residentes de la casa. Contexto. Tenjo es bien conocido por su agricultura y la artesanía, este fue un hecho importante para el proyecto, ya que ayudó a desarrollar la idea de un enfoque artístico y artesanal como casa productiva, por lo que el programa de la casa contempla una galería, para diferentes exposiciones y en la que la familia o los residentes pueden recibir ingresos, sobre la entrada de la galería, o la venta de todo tipo de arte especialmente artesanías. Después de la decisión de la actividad productiva, la casa se pensó para usuarios que viven de las artes, ya sea por la realización y venta o por el alquiler del espacio para las diferentes actividades que involucra a las artes y la artesanía. The main idea of the project is to create a unique space in which visitors can appreciate the house respecting the privacy of his residents by a circulation that allows the pedestrian to walk through the gallery recognizing the house and its elements also the pedestrian can walk surrounding the building, in where the first plan doesn’t have access either the house nor the gallery, both enters are at second floor.

La idea principal del proyecto es la creación de un espacio único en el que los visitantes pueden apreciar la casa respetando la privacidad de sus residentes por una circulación que permite al peatón caminar a través de la galería, reconociendo la casa y sus elementos. Además el peatón puede caminar rodeando el edificio.

Church of praise and glory.
3rd semester/3er semestre The project looks for be part of the development of an informal district, as a solution for social segregation in this site of the city, linking the residents of Bosque Calderon Tejada with social activities that make part of the city by giving them a place that will help them to achieve his goals, and to reorganize its community, making them closer. The building retains the typical architecture of a catholic church, but in this time all project idea was develop by circles and curves to break the conception of the Spanish church as the unique type of religious enclosure in Bogotá, and in Colombia, implanted in a large sloped surface, near the eastern hills of the city, which are points for ecological reserve, and where also cross las Delicias ravine.
El proyecto busca ser parte del desarrollo de un distrito informal, como una solución para la segregación social en este sitio de la ciudad, que vincule a los residentes de Bosque Calderón Tejada con las actividades sociales que hacen parte de la ciudad, dándoles un lugar que los ayude a alcanzar sus metas, reorganice su comunidad, haciéndolos más unidos. La edificación sigue manteniendo la arquitectura típica de una iglesia católica, pero en esta ocasión toda la idea del proyecto fue desarrollada por círculos y curvas para romper la concepción de la Iglesia española como el único tipo de recinto religioso en Bogotá y en Colombia, implantado en una superficie alargad e inclinada, cerca de los cerros orientales de la ciudad, que son puntos de reserva ecológica, y donde también cruza la quebrada las Delicias.

4rd semester/4to semestre The project begins as a solution for the physical need present in the Colombian countryside, by economic and social crises caused by environmental devastation and armed conflict in Colombia carrying hurting this population over 50 years. This has brought the abandonment of land and the move to big cities, by the peasants. The composition comes from paper mills, as an allegory of the wind mills that were present in all peasant households, a few decades ago. Defragmentation of this results with the shape and design of prototype of rural house, for its replication, in other places of the country which retains the same conditions in which this house was thought. El proyecto parte de la necesidad física presente en la zona rural colombiana, por la crisis económica y social, ocasionada por los estragos ambientales y los conflictos armados en Colombia que llevan perjudicando a esta población mas de 50 años., lo que ha traído consigo el abandono de tierras y el desplazamiento a las grandes ciudades, por parte de los campesinos. De aquí la búsqueda de soluciones ante esta situación, con la meta de impulsar de nuevo el campo y el hábitat rural del país. La composición nace de los molinos de papel, como una alegoría a los molinos de viento que estaban presentes en todas las casas campesinas, unas décadas atrás. La desfragmentación de este origina la forma de la casa rural propuesta.

The main idea of this project is to design houses that can provide a productive activity tied to the needs and livability of rural people, in this particular case in Usme, Cundiboyacense region, struggling to remain part of the rural and peasant Bogota and Cundinamarca, is proposed to prevent urban growth to their land. Se propone la creación de casas rurales que proporcionen una actividad productiva amarrada a las necesidades y habitabilidad de la población rural, en este caso particular el de Usme, región Cundiboyacense, que lucha por continuar siendo parte de la región rural y campesina de Bogotá y Cundinamarca, y evitar el crecimiento urbano hacia sus terrenos.

5th semester/5to semestre Residencias centro memoria está compuesto por 4 volúmenes, que conforman un total de 123 viviendas con una misma planta tipológica, diferenciados por la distribución desde los espacios públicos en altura, la implantación urbana entiende que debe haber un alto número de viviendas liberando espacio público, en el lote del proyecto, a partir de ello se conciben 4 torres implantadas en dirección norte donde las fachadas más largas de los cuatro volúmenes, están orientadas hacia oriente occidente para recibir un mayor beneficio de la iluminación natural.

Paper Mill/Molino de Papel
From the defragmentation of a paper mill was conceive the geometry of the main circulation of the project and therefore it was the main criteria of zoning project spaces. En la localidad de Tunjuelito en el parque el tunal, se presentan fuertes vientos aptos para elevar cometa y otros utensilios que actúan con el viento como es el caso de los remolinos de papel, de donde parte la composición del proyecto.
Its placement is based on the orientation of the main fields in relation to solar radiation to improve thermal comfort at indoors without damaging the entry of daylight, to the building, looking for the best sensations while doing sport activities. El proyecto busca generar identidad en el parque además de crear sentido de pertenencia a su vez, parte de la idea del viento es así como su geometría nace de una veleta de papel representando estos vientos. El proyecto está situado en el parque el tunal, y representa la experiencia de disfrutar espacios deportivos agradables y que a su vez despiertan emociones de gusto, propiedad y alegría.

In the urban district of Tunjuelito, in the park El Tunal, it raises strong winds suitable for kite activities and other equipment which function with the wind such as paper mills, were part of the composition of the project.
3rd semester/3er semestre The project seeks to generate an identity in the park and create a sense of belonging, at the same time, part of the idea of wind and geometry is born from a paper vane representing these winds. The project is located in the park El Tunal and represents the experience of enjoying pleasant sporting facilities and the possibility of let people connect to each other expressing their feelings and pleasant in a place that give them all.
DESFRAGMENTACION
5100 mts2 area ocupada volumen + 9000 m2 de paisaje urbano mas zona de reserva.
A partir de la desfragmentación del remolino de papel nace la geometría de las circulaciones principales del proyecto y por ende criterio principal de la zonificación de los espacios del proyecto.
Su implantación se basa en la orientación de las canchas principales en relación a la radiación solar mejorando el confort térmico en su interior sin perjudicar el ingreso de luz cenital, al edificación.
