construction design
Książęca is a wide, busy street that splits one of Warsaw green areas in half. My biggest task was to connect those two parts in a way that allows pedestrians and cyclists to move along the park without crossing the street. Using one of slopes I designed a footbridge that lays over 8 meters above the street level. My idea was to create wooden footbridge that ensures the continuity of green area and contact with nature. As a material I chose glued laminated timber and oak planks. T he construction was checked in Autodesk Robot software.

new Krochmalna street multistorey housing
Korchmalna street is one of the areas ruined during World War II. But it contuines to stay undeveloped despite the fact that it's in the very heart of city centre. Local plan establishes multistorey housing for that area. For me housing is about the sense of security and the sense of community. T hat determined the design of the building. Very narrow apartments enclosing the courtyard, giving the enhabitants a safe place to be in the very busy part of Warsaw.

mead rural architecture project
T he village of Glinianka lays in part of Poland that has always been famous for the honey treatment. I decided to design a mead next to apiary that was designed by my colleague Jan. T he process of potable honey production requires a variety of rooms with different parameters. Combinig that with the paths of semi-products, using Grasshopper and Kangaroo I designed a cellular building with structure adjusted to process od production. To place the building in local space I decided to use indigenous material, rammed earth, that comes from the construction site.
PRODUCED BY AN AUTODESK EDUCATIONAL PRODUCT
warehouse mead production needs many objects with different parameters: neighbouring rooms have different temperatures, air humidity, insolation. T hat is where appeared main idea, to create cellural structure.
With lines there are selected connections between rooms.
Every of them has its own optimal area.
Script created using parametric programs, which generates structure that fits to production process of the farm.

crossroads of freedom contest
We live in times where there are no universal definitions of some values. We are sure of their presence but its boundaries that defines its form are relative - its course depends on our value system, our experience, memories and the kind of people we actually are. One can say that every man has their own definition of freedom and at the same time the surface of interpretation, on which defines the course of boundaries. T he combination of those surfaces creates ambiguous image, that is determined by responsibility, sense of independence or individualism. Appealing to creation of Mark Rothko we wanted to present the unclear form composed from many surfaces, which shape is changable, depending on the observation point. As a material we used fishing nets- its related to the location (polish seashore) and, what is most important, the main function of net is to limit freedom, which helps us to outline the boundaries of this term. Contest team: Aleksander Gadomski, Antoni Prokop, Basia Śnieşyńska, Jan Szeliga

STUDENT ACTIVITY
25
student initiative my status: founder, initiator In the end of every semester there is always an exhibition organized. Accompanied by rush, monotony and tiredness from last days and nights of finishing projects, attended only by academic teachers, who evaluate them. Group of four students with their spontaneous desire decided to improve those exhibitions. We had a feeling that students can have a better chance to show their half years work. T ERAZ is an initiative founded to organize open events at the Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology. T ERAZ (polish: NOW) was the most suitable name for people who felt, that it is important to start creating right now, to make things change. T herefore our first goal was to show academic society, that we can make amazing things happen.
26
T ERAZ | We want to introduce ourselves
In exhibitions ending semesters students are allowed only to present boards and physical models of their work. We evaluated creating process is the same interesting, that is valuable to show not only final result of designing, but whole complicated process of it as well. First exhibition was accompanied by considered arrangement with some installations, created exclusively for this event, including three metres high wall made of paper pipes and clouds of sketches. Except of design classes, we presented drawings and watercolours, to show students various talents.
27
PLAYGROUND. Long Night of Musems at WUT 16.05.2015
my status: curator, coordinator Half year later T ERAZ decided to take a part in popular Warsaws event - the Long Night of Museums, as the part of centenary celebrating. To connect many fields we decided to chose a topic „playground, whose task was to let visitors get to know architecture and some designing rules, with a help of many different instalations and workshops. During an event visitors had an opportunity to watch, sketch and draw, move, observe, paint, jump, count, mesure, listen and touch. Every workshop was engaging body and brain.
28
COMMON PARTS. Long Night of Museums at WUT 14.05.2016
my status: curator, coordinator For the second time students from T ERAZ Initiative decided to open Faculty of Architecture during Long Night of Museums. T his year we will present to the guests COMMON PARTS of architecture and other fields, science, art where it inspires and where it is inspiration itself. Workshops and installations will help visitors understand issues connected to acoustic, optic, biology, physics, sociology and psychology. T here will be presented relations with movies and we will try to educate how colours of interiors influences on peoples emotions, what biological rules have influence on settlement or what factors decides if construction will resistant. T his years edition will be held also in Jazd贸w, warsaws settlement of summer houses, located nearby the city center, where in one of the houses starts its activity Open Atelier Jazd贸w, created by academic society. Consequently few of the workshops will take place there. T his event is another part of celebrating centenary of Faculty of Architecture.
T his event will take place soon!

Choosing the most attractive design idea.
Exhibitions organized at the end of every semester at Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology are to summarize few months of students work. T here are various projects presented: housing unit, single- and multi-family housing, schools and public utility objects. During every semester students have new project task, therefore at the exhibition there are nearly thousand works presented, but every one of them has its own approach and realizes different idea. Plebiscite for the most attractive idea was a part of celebrating a hundredth anniversary of Faculty of Architecture.
