Flow Space Workshop organised by Branchpoint group The main idea of this workshop was that one group where I was a participant was making parametrical landscape containing layers of information about environment and facets for small architectural forms. Those parametrical forms were made by the other group. In the end two projects were linked in order to make a landscape where every small architectural form is individual because its shape is determined by the information on the surrounding environment which it receives from the facet on which it is placed. All facets carry different environmental data.

Pavilion for the Day of the City Festival Co-architect of the pavillion It was a very adventurous project as it had to be constructed over night before the festival. Many different designs were made to find an optimal shape The main idea of the realised model was that the pavilion was part of the street and open to everybody. Its transparent body representing a wave signified new ideas and thoughts that young architects are so full of. The model was designed in Grasshopper and the dimensions were exported. Eventually, in our rush for the shape, we made one mistake. In the middle of the day when a heavy shower struck people ran into our pavilion and were a little surprised. We had not thought about a roof!

Force Based Design BAUHAUS Summer School, Weimar Germany

The purpose of this workshop was to understand the relationship of the shape to its bearing capacity and the dimensions of its elements. We searched for the optimal shape with the help of Karamba software and other optimisation tools. Our task was to design a roof-cover for the 10mx20m courtyard. In my design I used trusses with a rotating middle part to achieve an image of the roof floating in the air. The design was realised with a help of an attractor sphere who’s 3-d shape had an influence upon the trusses.
