ABOUT US
AIESEC is a global youth-led organization striving to achieve peace and fulfillment of humankind’s potential by activating leadership qualities in youth through learning from practical experiences in challenging environments. Together with partner organizations, AIESEC facilitates a network of cross-cultural exchanges in the form of volunteering experiences and professional internships. We are representatives of AIESEC in Brazil in the city of São Paulo. We are located at Insper college facilities. Acting since 2010, AIESEC in Insper has already performed more than 300 exchanges.

OUR CITY
WELCOME TO SÃO PAULO! São Paulo is Brazil’s largest city and the world’s seventh largest. This makes it a significant destination for business and pleasure travellers around the world who want to get a taste of Brazil. The city of São Paulo is capital to the state of the same name. It’s particularly rich in historical, political and cultural value, giving visitors an authentic, memorable experience of a fascinating country.
CLIMATE
Situated in Southeastern Brazil, S찾o Paulo is known for its unpredictable weather conditions. Its climate is a typically monsoon-influenced one. Summer temperatures average between 17 and 28 degrees Celsius, while winters are between 11 and 23 degrees Celsius.

OUR PROJECTS
X4CHANGE X4Change is a project that gives to the children a chance to learn a new language (English or Spanish) and have contact with people from different cultures and perspectives. Job Description: Prepare sessions and workshops to teach a language to the kids and teenagers at the NGO and create fun activities to practice the topics and develop moments to share about culture and the SDGs. 2 Meals a day

Prepare conversational spaces at least once each week of the project, putting into practice the knowledge that students have learned throughout each week. Buddy and PickUp

OUR PROJECTS
NÓS The project Nós (WE) promotes the change on education of children in our city, so one day they can be the leadership our world needs. The truth is that inequalities in our world cause deaths everyday, the project Nós works for changing the mentality of people inside NGOs around São Paulo so they then act for the respect and good of minorities. Job Description: The activities are developed in children and teenagers. Volunteers participate in activities that lead young people to reflect on values such as respect, equality, diversity, gender equality and others. Team work between the exchange participant and teachers and other professionals.

OUR PROJECTS
PLANET HEROES Inspired by the “Heroes Journey", this project invites the kids to accomplish the mission to turn the 3 elements of their own world: house, educational environment and neighborhood. Our goal is that each kid, hero of our planet, multiply and perpetuate new sustainable practices. Job Description: Prepare sessions and workshops about environment topics and global issues. Develop different activities about the 4 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink. Prepare conversational spaces at least once each week of the project, putting into practice the knowledge that students have learned throughout each week.

OUR PROJECTS
SMART The Smart project works directly with the major needs of a NGO: marketing and management. Its goal is to cooperate to the development of the third sector, ensuring the permanence and improvement of the activities already executed by the NGO. Job Description: Improve the functional organization of the NGO if necessary. Work people management and information. Develop strategies and processes for raising funds for NGO financing and sustainability.

Prepare moments to share the development of the project with the managers of the NGO every week and to align the strategies with what the NGO needs. Buddy and PickUp

BENEFITS
Preparation Before Arrival Online meeting to answer questions and explain all what you need to know about the project and your stay in São Paulo. PickUp Someone from AIESEC in Insper will be waiting you at the airport or the bus station when you arrive. Incoming Preparation Seminar When you get here, we’ll have another seminar, this one is made to give you even more information and help you on your first steps.
First Day On your first day at the NGO, an AIESEC member will spending the day with you on NGO. The first day is really important for you to set all the work rules, like your work schedule and activities Alimentation You’ll have 2 meal covered per work day on the NGO. About Our Meetings You’ll have weekly meetings with other exchange participants, so you will be able to share things about your country and the project you are doing.

AIESEC in Insper provides accommodation for every intern.
-Hosts are not responsible for your alimentation, both of you should agree on terms of cooking/sharing spends of food.
Our process for accepting host families just as careful as our process for accepting you into our program. We conduct an application process before each family is able to match with one of our candidates
-AIESEC cannot ensure you will have amenities such own room, air conditioning or any other fancy treatment with your host.
-Families are mostly Brazilian citizens, middle class, single, couple or family, it’s possible they have pets.
-AIESEC is not responsible of your personal belongings is your responsibility to keep and take care of them.
-Hosts are not paid to host you, they are volunteers as you. They want to practice a language and have a cultural exchange in their home.
-You must follow the rules of your host, such as keep order or ask before bringing someone in. -Living with host is part of your experience and you are responsible to make the best out of it.

Transportation The Public transport system in São Paulo works from 4am until 12pm. Trainee Fee AIESEC in Insper has a maintenance fee called Trainee Fee. You will have to pay it when you get here in, it costs US$ 40.

 Be patient, positive and resilient, answer e-mails on time to keep clear communication. Send us the documentation until 15 days before arrival. Take your volunteer seriously, attend to every class assigned and prepare you presentations.
