MAST ER TH ESIS Master Thesis Project in cooperation with Opel Advanced Design Finalist of the VDA DESIGN AWARD 2013 ENVISION DYNAMICS - INTERACTION OF TRAFFIC AND ITS ENVIRONMENT

>> The main body and the stretched DLO work independently as sculptures. But it is the interaction between both which creates the unique character of the vehicle. Neither the A-Pillar, nor the rest of the architecture is visible from outside. The transparency of the DLO changes when starting the vehicle. The main characteristic of the parking mode is its closed shape. Head and tail lights appear instantaneously as soon as the wheel engines start running. Furthermore, the structure of the material will be visible on the bodyside.

>>This thesis deals with interaction. Viewing this interaction as a vehicle‘s „dynamic signature“, we are liberated from the conventional view of a car as a rigid object. The ability to distinguish between an active and a passive mode of the vehicle will create a novel means of communication as well as interaction between the car and its environment.

YD yacht design

The S.K.Y is a 73 meter - long mega yacht whose attention to technical detail and design make it stand out from all others. The choice of a sustainable energy source and storage send a clear signal for modern maritime travel. These energy solutions taken together, as well as in their own right, represent important advances toward covering energy requirements. The design hints at what lies ahead for mega yachts. The composition of the exterior complements the innovation behind the technical concepts involved. Technical innovations give rise to features spanning the entire design. Design and engineering come together in two characteristics of the S.K.Y, the “Solarwings accentuate the lateral periphery, while a 320 square meter traction kite visually and physically propels the rig. These components not only shape the appearance of the yacht but allow the owner to utilize and display the most current, forward-thinking, and environmentally responsible technology.

100 feet of ELEGANCE Transportation Design semester project as part of the Industrial Design studies CENT - the luxurious business motor yacht

one hundred feet luxury motor yacht transportation design project (2007) The task was to design a 100 ft-motor yacht exemplifying the reinterpretation of yachting in terms of elegance. The main focus was on exterior design. Furthermore a concept of the interior should be created. The „CENT“ is a 100 ft luxury-business motoryacht. Its self contained floating shape communicates an elegance of simplicity and allows it to reach remarkable speed. Many extraordinary functions make life easier aboard the yacht for example the direct access to the water and the individual configuration of the sun deck. Thus allow you to arrange the stay on board as pleasant as possible.
