M

y name is Alexander Sledzinski, i am originally from Puebla city, a city near to Mexico city, where I lived through my childhood and adolescence. I attended pre-university education at the American School of Puebla. In August 2011, I moved to Mexico City to study architecture at the Universidad Iberoamericana, best university of architecture in Mexico. During 2020 I have been working in supervision of different areas for stores of INDITEX group in Poland, as well as Romania and Bulgaria. Supervising and controlling construction process stores such as Zara, Zara Home, Masssimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Oysho and Bershka. Before that, I worked in Mexico City for Bernardi+Peschard architecture, contributing mainly on private luxury home projects, residential condominiums like Ritz Carlton residence and RubĂŠn Dario 225 and Hotel. In these projects I contributed by making documentation drawings and details of each area of the project or any other extra documentation required by the client, involving 3DS or renders. In my career I had interest in developing and improving as a designer, in a more integral way, encompassing other branches of design as well as architectural design, in order to have more tools to reinforce and be able to make better architecture. I like to have a design process which is aware of the environment and society, creating more successful and functional projects. I believe that architecture as well as being functional can also transmit something that has repercussions on emotions, living space in a different way. I like to rely on tools that allow me to create and have a better representation of my ideas, considering myself total- self-taught person, having learned many things such as software autonomously. I have always tried to be vanguardist, which allows me to do what I want. I use drawing as an initial expression of ideas, which can be then complemented with the use of an appropriate softwares. Today I find a good performance in the area of 3D modeling and render, enhancing the projects of a visual and attractive way, nevertheless with models that help to the correct understanding of the construction process of the projects.

The project is located in Vancouver, Canada. Within a residential area, well planned. Nearby you can find green areas and shops. The project seeks to have a great adherence to the BIG project and the rest of the context. The areas on the ground floor form a square and the project opens into the a master plan that combines with the context. It has a total of 432,909.21 square feet that are divided; 54% Luxury living, 25% Social housing required by the British Columbia government, 17% circulation, 2% Retail housing, 1% amenities and 1% cultural amenities. The building has 50m2 studios up to 400m2 apartments. The shape of the building corresponds to the idea of generating a door to Vancouver through the Granville bridge, being a complement to Bjarke Ingels project (Vancouver House)

[3.1]

[3.1] Diagram shows building has 17% of circulation, leaving the rest for housing, amenties, comertial and culture. [3.2] Diagram shows building divided into 2 parts: Lower part (38%) low cost housing, upper part (62%) luxury housing.

[5.2]

The main idea of this project was to complement the existing market of Tlahuac, creating residents and near neighborhoods have all their needs in one place instead of having to walk many miles to get any daily need, with this same idea we made a connection between the 3 nearby towns so they can visit the market directly without having to pass to another neighborhoods. Also we had the idea to convert the river as a movable market just as it is in the Mekong river at Vietnam where people can transport merchandise and sell them.
