The Competences Required from Brazilian Aeronautical Accidents Investigators: A Proposal
The work presents the proposal of a model of core competencies required from the Brazilian Air Safety Investigator based on the constructs of knowledge, skill, attitude and experience. The model outlines the individual competence pillars and respective variables for those working as investigators, with the aim of assisting the processes of appointment, selection, training and continuing education of such professionals of the Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Center. The proposal aims at reducing the subjectivity of personnel management by means of a tool to support the aeronautical investigation authority in Brazil. Moreover, the work makes a diagnosis of the reality of the Brazilian Air Safety Investigators experience and level of preparation for the exercise of their function.
