Eddy Merckx Cycles ensure ultimate power transfer by using stiff frames in combination with power sections at specific points of the frame. All Merckx frames (both carbon and aluminum) are also shaped asymmetrically. The seat tube and chain stays are attached to both sides of the frame in a way that provides maximum power output and therefore maximum speed.

How do you prevent loss of stiffness with large frame sizes? Constant Steering Stiffness is not only a requirement for every frame, but also for every size of frame. What good is opting for an ultra-stiff frame if the forks do not provide the same stiffness? That is why at Eddy Merckx Cycles we also adjust the tapering of the forks to match the size. This is of course important for the larger sizes to avoid the stiffness value reducing as the size of the frame increases.
