A Division of General Mills IA 417 - Fall 2019 6,800 SQ FT
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
General Mills has decided to develop an Innovation Center dedicated to development and branding of emerging food brands. This Innovation Center will be located adjacent to the GM headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. GM is proud of their brands and heritage. This office space should reflect that with an energetic, forward-thinking approach. 301 Inc. is commissioning designers to move forward from a traditional office space business model, to an open collaborative business environment with as few private offices as possible. This Innovation Center (IC) should impress the longevity of the Minneapolis roots as well as reveal their futuristic path in the community and the world.

SITE PLANNING CONCEPT:
The main goal of this wellness center is to provide a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere centered around the health of all UWSP students and employees. By incorporating design features inspired by the 7 dimensions of wellness, this facility truly focuses on the mind, body, and spirit. These three pillars of wellness are what inspired the triangular form used throughout the design. This creates a dynamic and energetic atmosphere, which is balanced by curved elements and a neutral color pallet.

Tiny House IA 217 - FALL 2018 600 SQ. FT.
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
This tiny house was designed to address a social issue impacting the world today. Tiny homes are a solution to many problems including affordability, space, and fast-track construction. To be considered a tiny house, the living space must stay between 300-600 square feet. Codes, sustainability, and functionality should be major considerations.
DESIGNERS:
Alexis Cordova
SOFTWARE: AutoCAD Photoshop
TINY HOUSE CONCEPT: Inspired by the recent California wildfires, this house was constructed to not only resemble flames and smoke, but also to withstand it. The concrete exterior and durable materials make it an ideal dwelling in warm, dry climates. The combination of metal, glass, and concrete represent the strength and power that fire possesses. These industrial finishes are balanced by vibrant, nature inspired colors and wood tones which reflect the balance between man and nature.

UWSP FACILITIES PLANNING June 2019 - June 2021 OVERVIEW:
During my Facilities Planing internship, I had the opportunity to assist in the design of a variety of spaces on the UW-Stevens Point campus. I gained experience in many areas of interior design including education, corporate, recreation, event spaces, furniture, and material selection. This hands-on experience allowed me to grow as a designer in a professional, fast-paced environment.
SELECTED PROJECTS:
UWSP Welcome Center Doctor of Physical therapy Department Champion’s Hall Corridor Seating Champion’s Hall Golf Simulation Room
SOFTWARE: AutoCAD SketchUp Photoshop
UWSP Welcome Center PROJECT: The new UWSP Welcome Center needed to embody the history, beliefs, and goals of UWSP. New finishes, furniture and custom design features were selected to transform the existing chapel into a cohesive space on campus. Branding was adressed with the use of Pointer purple and gold, while teal accents symbolize Stevens Points innovation in technology. Eco-friendly materials are used throughout to represent the sustainability initiatives on campus. This combination of design elements creates an inviting and energetic space to welcome future students. BEFORE TOUR LAUNCH ROOM
