Shop Design
Group Work Medium: AutoCAD, 3DS Max, Photoshop Diane Von Furstenberg, founder of the self-named global, luxury brand Diane Von Furstenberg (DVF), became well known for her iconic wrap dress and signature prints since 1974. She has since expanded her brand to a full collection of ready-to-wear garments and accessories including shoes and handbags.
Patterns
Inspiration
Concept Using the wrap dress as the concept, the complimentary features of it create a harmony and balance. The simplicity of the style of the dress and the ‘crazy’ patterns and colours are used to allow it to standout. In the same way, the simple style of the dress is used as Black Rectilinear Frameworks in a clean white room to show how meek and mild it is. The patterns and colours are used as organic circulation around the shop with walls of pattern and color. This creates the same contrast used in the famous wrap dress.

Gabrielle’s Bedroom
Moodboard Contemporary Style
Individual Project December 2014 Medium: 3ds Max Name: Gabrielle Age: 14 Likes: Pink, Makeup and Reading Desire: “ My room is quite small and dark and I really want it to be brighter” Gabrielle was worried that having a pink room could make her room look closed up and dark. Although pink was a desire of hers, she was willing to let it go to have her room bigger and brighter. The solution to the problem was using nude coloured paint on the walls that have a pink undertone. The flooring was a nice shade of grey wood and the décor had touches of light pink and were added to fill Gabrielle’s desire of pink.

However, as she is just 19 years old, and she did not want her room to look mature, adding a pop of color- in this case turquoise –was used to add charisma. Danielle has an existing big wardrobe, in which mirrors were added to it to allow the room to appear larger than it is. A desk was also included as she is a university student which requires a lot of studying.

Frank Lloyd Wright History Of Design Florence, Italy November 2014
Inspiration
Hot Tub & Spa Design
Medium: 3DS Max, Photoshop Frank L Wright (1867- 1959) was a famous American Architect best known for his famous designs such as Falling Water and the Prairie House. He is known for his Organic Architecture Style and used this in designs for homes and commercial buildings. The Interior room designed is a Frank L Wright Inspired Spa Room. It depicts numerous designs by him. He was a child who loved the outdoors and nature: This is where the idea of having a hot tub stemmed from. Nature is known for keeping people relaxed and giving them time and space to think; the spa is also designed to satisfy this need. Plants were also added for décor and nature. The Hot Tub has a fountain pouring water into the tub and is inspired by the form of Wright’s 1935 architectural building, Falling Waters. It is surrounded by stone which is where the idea of the material of the flooring and the tub came from. The room is quite enclosed to give a warm feeling. Textile blocks, that Wright used in a number of his Californian houses, are placed along the back of the room and also serve as pegs to hold towels or bags. The side walls have Wright’s inspired stained glass windows to give the room warm colours when the sun shines through. Lastly, the lighting fixtures on the ceiling take the basic form of the Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank L Wright.
