Arriver à Saint-Barth dans les années 80, c’était encore découvrir une petite île de rêve, qui séduisait par son intimité, ses couleurs, ses parfums et la qualité de l’accueil chaleureux de ses habitants. Une exception, un petit paradis que Pati, artiste éclectique a su résumer dans un logo simple comme une adresse, une estampille, un signe d’appartenance. Une île minuscule, des plages et des palmiers, une adresse un peu vague qui préserve des intrusions… Porter un des tee-shirts de Pati est encore afficher son goût pour cette forme de liberté que l’on ne trouve qu’à St Barth, sur les plages, dans des lieux déjà mythiques où les rencontres sont spontanément amicales, dans les tiédeurs et les parfums de l’île. Au fil du temps, cette marque est devenue celle d’une tribu, d’un clan qui s’est étendu mais reste, au-delà d’un souvenir de voyage un signe d’attachement et de ralliement. Those who arrived in Saint Barth back in the 80s discovered a heavenly little island, seductive in its intimacy, its colors, its aromas, and the hospitality of its inhabitants. It was a world unto itself, a tiny paradise that Pati, an eclectic artist, was able to sum up in a simple logo, an address, a symbol, a sign of belonging. A minuscule island, with its beaches and palm trees, an address intentionally left a little vague to preserve it from intrusions… Wearing one of Pati’s t-shirts today is a way to display one’s taste for the kind of freedom only found in Saint Barth, on its beaches, in its legendary locations where friendships are made spontaneously in the warmth and scents of the island.
