The project is a new built, multi unit, private residential development aimed at retirees, comprising 34 units featuring a mix of flats and bungalows on a redundant rural site.
In collaboration with and under the guidance of a senior architect, I assisted with the development of the dwelling units’ design at stages 2 and 3.
I drafted the floor plans, elevations, street scenes and contributed to the final master plan production in preparation for the Planning Application package.

The project is a residential development consisting of the conversion of 2 existing derelict concrete frame barns into 2 luxury dwellings. The development is located in a rural area surrounded by sporadic farmhouses.
I developed the proposal throughout stages 2 and 3 under guidance and supervision from a senior designer, adhering to Permitted Development Class Q parameters. The units retain the form and volume of the original structures and are treated externally with natural timber cladding and a standing seam zinc roof. The dwellings feature ample airy mezzanine communal spaces.
I produced all drawings in preparation for a Lawful Development Certificate application.

Located within the expansive curtilage of a Grade II Listed farmhouse, surrounded by agricultural land, the project comprises the adaptation and extension of a redundant framed stable block into a private residential annexe, intended to serve as a luxury guesthouse.
I liaised directly with the client throughout stages 1, 2 and 3 to establish all crucial elements, including the schedule of accommodation, feasibility of desired features, the layout and design, planning permission route and principles of fabric retrofit.
The design features ample high clerestory glazing, an infill extension that transforms the stables into a symmetrical monolithic block, an internal courtyard and retention of the original shape and mass.
I developed the design, produced all drawings, prepared, submitted and successfully acquired planning permission.

Private Annexe C3 Dwellinghouse Sissinghurst Stages 1+2+3 Nov.20-Jan.21
Situated within the curtilage of an isolated house surrounded by woodland, the project consists of the retrofit and extension of a redundant ancillary building into a residential annexe for use as a luxury guesthouse.
Throughout RIBA stages 1, 2 and 3, I liaised directly with the client to establish the layout, appearance, access, design, planning permission route and the principles of external fabric retrofit.
The design features an open plan kitchen dining living space, balcony terrace with a framed view towards the forest, en-suite bedroom and bedspace/ study area in the existing roof space. Externally, the building is treated with a mix of timber cladding and a lead roof for the extension.
I designed the scheme, produced all drawings, prepared, submitted and monitored the planning application process, resulting in the sucesfull approval of the project.

The project represents a response, critique and future speculation exercise regarding central urban developer housing trends that have coalesced over the last decade.
The proposal aims to establish a community based, built to rent council run housing estate. Its objective is to foster social interaction and facilitate the formation of long-term relationships among young, single individuals within a close-knit community setting.
The development consists of compact, affordable dwellings, offering essential amenities tailored to a micro-living environment.

The scheme features its own water supply source with re-use and sustainable filtration systems. Coupled with rainwater harvesting, these systems effectively reduce on-site resource consumption and pollution. Interconnected canals and ponds serve as visual amenity features, establishing water as a unifying lifestyle choice for residents. All dwellings adhere to Passivhaus Standard principles, incorporating high-insulation levels and MVHR technology to enhance thermal comfort while minimizing fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.
