Introduction Chadwick Mental Health helps you navigate the mental health resources available to residents of British Columbia. We provide information and support to families and individuals affected by mental health disorders. The focus of our identity is inviting and friendly simplicity. We created this document to help communicate our branding guidelines to local outreach centres who are representing our brand in their community. We need to ensure that our brand maintains a consistent look and feel, no matter where in the world it is seen. This requires strict dedication to standards. This guide is provided to keep the brand focused and unique.

Logo Our Logo is the touchstone of our brand and our most valuable asset. The preferred way to use the Chadwick Mental Health logo is over a light coloured or ideally white background. Every attempt must be made to do this. If the logo must be placed on a dark background then the supplied black or white logos can be used in its place. To maximize the brands presence and visual stand-out there is a defined minimum clear space area. This clear zone around the brand mark defines the area in which no other graphic element, such a text, imagery or other brand marks can intrude. The distance marked x represents half the width of the wing. The formula shown below applies to all sizes of brandmark reproduction.

Typefaces Typography is a key element to communicate a unified personality for Chadwick Mental Health. We utilise three typefaces. The first is Source Sans Pro, a typeface that is exclusively used as part of our wordmark in the logo. The second typeface is Merriweather. This typeface is used for addresses, headers, subheads and footnotes. Merriweather Sans is used for the majority of body copy. We have chosen to work with the Merriweather family to create a cohesive, responsible and modern feel to our stationery and publications. Both of these typefaces combine to enhance the Chadwick Mental Health brand image of friendliness, approachability and compassion.

Colours The Chadwick Mental Health colours are as important as the logo itself. We have created two primary colours. Warm Orange PMS 7413 and Calm Ocean PMS 309. Orange is an inviting and invigorating colour that invites our clients to look forward to every new day. Our Calm Ocean is toned down in the logo to evoke calmness and tranquillity. Together, they create a feeling of calm positivity. Below are the breakdowns for these primary brand colours.

Expanded Colour Palette The expanded colour palette is composed of three analogous split-complementary colours that represent a calm, uplifting feeling. Tints of 20% increments are designed to add depth and flexibility, and can also be used to convey various levels of hierarchy.
