TRAVELLING TO HOTHAM
Parking & Village Transport: Designated day parking and overnight parking is available on the mountain and marked with signage. Hop on the free village shuttle bus, which has pick up points at all car parking areas to take you to the ski areas and back again from 6.45am-2am daily in winter.
BY ROAD Self Drive: Hotham is a 4.5 hour drive from Melbourne, 8 hour drive from Sydney, 12 hour drive from Adelaide and 15 hour drive from Brisbane. Chains: All vehicles visiting Hotham are required by law to carry Diamond Pattern wheel chains during the winter season which must be fitted when directed. Chains can be rented from Rays Ski Shop in Myrtleford.
Coaches: Relax and let someone else drive. Several coach operators run services direct from capital cities, as well as servicing Albury airport, Myrtleford, Bright, Harrietville, Omeo and Dinner Plain stops during winter.
Resort Entry Fees: All vehicles visiting Hotham for 30 minutes or more require a valid Resort Entry Permit during the winter season. This can be purchased online before you arrive or at the Resort Management Board office upon arrival. Resort entry fees help fund Ski Patrol, road snow clearing, free village transport, cross country trail grooming, waste and environment management services for visitors.
BY AIR Charter a private flight from anywhere in Australia to Hotham’s own airport, just 20 minutes’ drive from the resort. Hotham is only a 2.5 hour drive from Albury airport in which Rex, QantasLink and Virgin air services have regular scheduled flights arriving and departing during the season.
