THE DQ HOTEL DESIGN 4

Diplomatic Quarter, Riyadh, Saudi arabia Area: 6,900 msq Typology: Boutiq Hotel

I was deeply committed to the field of architecture and passionate about creating designs that reflect the cultural and historical context of the site. In my fourth design studio project, i had the opportunity to work on a cultural boutique hotel located in the diplomatic quarters of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Our project was inspired by the existing tents found in the Tuwaiq Palace, and we aimed to create a design that would reflect the history and culture of the site. We divided the functions into different masses and created a central circulation path that connects the different buildings. This path serves as the main artery of the hotel, connecting guests to various activities and experiences. Throughout the project, i was were able to apply my knowledge of architectural theory and design principles, and i also gained valuable experience in managing a complex project with multiple functions and design considerations. I carefully considered the cultural context of the site and incorporated local materials and design elements to create a cohesive and authentic design.
