ISSUE
CROWDED PLACE
Located beside a busy highway and the Jombor flyover, the atmosphere is very lively
SOLUTION GOALS
Noise obtained from the highway can be overcome by adjusting the zoning properly, providing natural silencers in the form of vegetation, and soundproofing can be added in certain rooms.
ENVIRONMENT & SOCIAL COMMERCIAL
The surrounding area is a commercial area with competing hotels and other commercial buildings
Hotels are attractively designed and have certain characteristics (iconic) to get a different impression from competing hotels around
CLIMATE
The building was built in a country with a tropical climate and the Sleman area tends to be hot
Overcoming the problem of a hot climate can be done by optimizing vegetation and processing building facades by adding shading
This hotel building will be built close to residential areas on the north and east sides
ATTRACTIVITE SUITABILITY
The hotel was built not facing residents' houses so that activities in the hotel are maintained privacy. Development must not disturb the surrounding conditions so that occupants do not need excessive adaptation to the existence of a new building

BACKGROUND
Children aged 4 to 10 years are at their golden age. At that time, children experiencerapidgrowthanddevelopmentsothatchildrenaremostsensitive andhavethepotentialtolearnsomethingbecausetheircuriosityisverygreat.
In Yogyakarta itself, as a Student City, it certainly tries to improve children's education through learning at school. However, when children study at school, theyhavelimitedtimeandspacetoexploretheirindividualinterests. At school they are focused on formal education, so non-formal education is onlyanadditionallesson.
The children's creativity development center located in Yogyakarta is considered to be able to help children's activities to freely develop their creativity and learn to socialize. This development center aims to be able to providenewexperiencesandlearningforchildrenandinvitethemtoactively gettoknowtheirsurroundings.
ISSUE
Children's creativity is less noticed
Delinquency in children carried over to teenager
Lack of adequate facilities as a place for children to study
Parents do not understand how to help children to be creative

MASSING CONCEPT
MetaphorApproach: Rubik’sCube
The Rubik's Cube is a mechanical puzzle game invented in 1974 by the Hungariansculptorandprofessorofarchitecture,ErnőRubik.Thecubeis madeofplasticandconsistsof27smallpartswhichrotateonavisibleaxis.
Implementation
A3x3 cube-shaped Rubik is likened to a 3-storey building
Mass Composition Transformation
A3x3 cube-shaped Rubik is likened to a 3-storey building
For the concept approach, the rubik is rotated so that there is a shift in shape
The rubik's cube is subtracted so that it is no longer in the shape of a cube
Mass Composition Transformation
Inspired by the shape of a hand holding a rubik's cube
Both hands are likened to touching the top of the rubik's cube
Some parts of the cube are subtracted again, causing a forward and backward rhythm
For a better transformation, the hands are reversed
The final form is the combination of the Rubik's concept on the building and the hand concept on the roof
